Mrs. Garland Lawrence spent the New Year's week end in West Lafavcttc, Indiana, with Prof and Mrs J. W. Sicer. On New Year's a buffet supper was enjoyed in the home of Mrs. Bess Fcrverda for her family and friends. The guests were Mr and Mrs. Kenneth Chapman and two sons; Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Brovold and Shaun; Mr. and Mrs. Lee Chapman; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Keeling and family; Mrs. Goldie Chapman; and Mrs. Mildred Jackson, of South Bend. Word was received here last Thursday of the death of Mr. Walter McCutcheon, of Phoenix. Arizona. Mr. and Mrs. McCutcheon were well known in North Liberty as Mrs. McCutcheon was the former Margunete Heim, a North Liberty resident for many years. Memorial services were on Monday of this week Mrs. Don Ludwig and Jeff gave a parts Saturday evening in their home honoring Mr. Don Ludwig's brithday.
