lense was strong in the first quarter as it wasn't until about live minutes into tht game, that the Cougars scored their first points on a jumper bv Dave Maxwell making it K-2 North I ibertv Ihe Shamrocks marched to the free throw line eight times in this stanza as the Cougars fouled alot giving I ibertv the one plus one at 3 lb. Ihe quarter ended with the Shamnxks on top 14 -. Period two saw the Shamrocks going to the charm line HI times, making nine of 15. Ihi referees tails were close and slowed down the progress of the game considerably . One 1 ibertv fan called out to the officals that he wanted to get home bv midnight and to let them plav ball. There isn't much more to sav about the second stanza because momentum is hard to get going when you have to stop so much to shoot freebees. For example there was onlv one field goal

scored in the first four minutes of this pernxl At the half the Shamnxks extended their lead to 33-1". In the third period the Cougars got more aggressive and it was then that all the technicals were called. It was too bad that the Shamnxks and Cougars didn't rcallv get a chance to play ball, as I'm sure it would have been more exciting than this game was. It is evident though that North I ibertv is the better of the two but they sure didn t get the chance to show it Tuesday night. The Shamnxks were led by ailing Jeff Martin with 22 and Ron Price's lb.
