The stuffing from the turkey is gone xs is the gravy What’s left are the last tender tidbits of poultry and they re too good to waste What s needed is a new recipe idea if you are to enjoy those last morsels of leftover turkey Pepperidge F irm suggests a freshly baked stuffing ring mold with a Turkey a la King filling STUFFING RING WITH TURKEY A LA KING 1 (8-ounce) package Pepperidge Farm Herb Seasoned Stuffing 1 (10 3/4-ounee)can condensed chicken broth 4 eggs, we U beaten 1 cup milk 2(10 1/2-ounce each ) cans condensed cream of chicken s< >u p 2 cups diced cooked turkey 1 (4-ounce) jar pimiento, drained and diced 1 (10-ounce) package frozen peas In a bowl, mix stuffing, chicken broth, eggs and milk Pour mix tun* into a well greased 6-cup ring mold Bake in a preheated oven (350 F ) for 40 minutes or until puffed and brown While ring is baking, combine remaining ingredients in a saucepan and simmer until piping hot and peas are cooked Unmold ring on a platter and pour Turkey a la King into a bowl and place in center of ring Cut ring into sections and spoon Turkey a la King over stuffing Makes 6 servings

P-L-J SCHOOL BOARD NEWS Ihe Polk Lincoln-Johnson Schixil Board met in regular session on luesdav evening with a discussion with the architect from P A( 1 Assixiated being a major item of business. Ihe construction cost breakdown for the renovation project at I rev Middle School; paving the parking lot at Urey Middle School; converting the exterior court at John Glenn High School into a study hall and expanding the present parking lots at the high schixil; and making improvements in the three school buildings to meet the mandate for handicapped
persons was all discussed. The estimated cost for all projects is $ 1,250,(MX). Funds to finance such a project will be financed through a priv ate holding companv as w as the building of the addition at the > Walkerton Elementarv School three vears ago. In order tor the board to secure funds from a private holding companv to do ren ovation work, a law has to be passed by the 1980 Indiana legislature to do so. Prescntlv the law states that funds can onlv be secured from a private or public holding companv for new construction or new additions. A bill is being prepared to be presented to tlie legislature this coming January. II the bill passes the legislature as an emergenev bill, then it becomes law immediatelv upon the governor's signature. Ihe board plans to issue bids in late January ami accept bids the end of Februarv. C onstruction w ill start Mav 1 and be completed by October I Superintendent Harold R Muncie announced that the application for a Work Studv program was ap proved by the State Vocational Department in the amount of $3,306. I his money will be used to pav the wages of students in a vocational program at the high school who are helping after schixil as custodial workers. I he board passed a resolution to transfer funds within and between appropriation accounts to cover deficits in those appropriations for tlie 19’9 budget. It was also announced bv the superintendent that approval had been received from the Division of Schixil Fixxi and Nutrition Programs to increase the price of dailv lunches to 50 cents lot grades one through eight ami 55 cents for grades nine through 12 effective January 3, 1980.
