Mrs. Russell Bicrly and Miss Ethel Bicrly were two of the guests of their birthday club at the home of Mrs. Kose Devereaux on Monday. The singles club enjoyed a Thanksgiving dinner at the home of Mrs. Bertha Urbin Monday evening. Six members and one guest were present. Following the dinner the evening was spent playing bridge. Archie Laßere, a former Walkerton resident, is in the hospital at Lakeland, Florida. He would enjoy hearing from his northern friends. He is in Lakeland General. Mr. George Pfeiffer was in Griffith at the home of his daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas .Jerome, last week from Sunday till Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gardner and Tim spent Sunday in Wanatah with Mr. and Mrs. Richard Land. A prc-Thanksgiving dinner was enjoyed by all. Mrs. Lawrence Taylor, of Monroe, Michigan; Mrs. Pansy Noakes and Mrs. Harold Collings, of Kingsford Heights; spent last Thursday afternoon visiting here with Mrs. Esther Kaufman and Mr. and Mrs. Amos Bierly. Mr. and Mrs. Miron Gearheart, ot Bluffton, were Sunday guests of their son. Rev. and Mrs. Robert Gearheart and Wesley. Mr. and Mrs. Myron Mullet spent the past two weeks in Carmel with her daughter. Mr. and Mrs. William Nesbitt and daughter Mr. Mullet went down on Saturday and while he was so near Indianapolis he attended the Tippecanoe Valley football game where the team coached by Charles "Butch” Smith, a Walkerton graduate, won the Class A state title. Mr and Mrs. Mullet returned on Sundav Mrs. Glenn .Jacob. Katie and Adam went to ( armci on Sundav to see the new daughter of the William Nesbitts. Mr. Berlin Burnside and Mr. lorn Eisenbmenger, of Portage, spent last Wednesday with Mr and Mrs. Wilder Burnside. Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Kcrchacrt were in Indianapolis on Friday to attend the final game of the Class A football tournament which hppecanoe Valley won. Mrs. Kcrchacrt is the mother of Charles "Butch” Smith, the coach of the winning team. Mrs. Garland Lawrence returned last Wednesday evening from a ten dav stay at Punta Gorda.
