STELLA MAE ULRICH Mrs. Stella Mae Ulrich. 83. of the Carisle Nursing Home, form erly of North Libert), died at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. October 30. in Memorial Hospital, after a lengthy illness. She was born on Mas 13. 18%. in Lipton County and lived in North Liberty for 45 years, moving therefrom South Bend. On March 25. 1915. she married Charles L. Ulrich, in Tipton. who preceded her in death on March 2. 1966. She was employed by the Studebaker C orp for 31 years, retiring in 1958. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Bert (Arlene) Rudynski. of North Liberty and Mrs. William (Marietta) Kocsis. of South Bend; eight grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren; two sisters. Mrs. Alice Purdom. of Kokomo and Mrs. Ella Young, of Downey. California; and a brother. Bernard Rust, of Kokomo. Services were at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the A. M. November 1, at his home after an illness of ten months. He was horn on May 16, 1912. at Bolivar, Pennsylvania, and had lived in Walkerton the past five years coming from East ( hicago. He was retired from Inland Steel Corporation. East ( hicago. He is survived by four daughters. Mrs. Carol Hannah, of North Judson. Mrs. DeLeen Cook and Mrs. Marguerite Hartman, of W'alkerton. and Mrs. Mary Sampson. of Toledo. Ohio; a son. Ralph F.. of Walkerton; 20 grandchildren and two sisters. Mrs. Marguerite Pavne and Mrs. Marv St. Clair, both of New Florence. Pennsylvania. Services were at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday at the Rannells Funeral Chapel. Koontz Lake, with Rev. Jacobs, who preceded her in death on October 26, 1930. Surviving are a daughter. Mrs. Maxine Six. of North Liberty ; a son. Vernon, of White Water, Montana; four grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. LLOYD C. EVANS, JR. Lloyd C. Evans, Jr.. 27. of 155 Canary, Nappanee, died at 7:15 a.m. on Saturday . November 3. in a one-car accident on U. S. 6 east of Nappanee. He was pronounced dead at the scene of internal injuries. The car was westbound on U. S. 6 when Evans lost control and veered off the road and overturned several times. A passenger in the car. Bruce A. Furncy, 24. of Nappanee. was listed in p<x>r condition Saturday night at the Elkhart General Hospital. He was born on August 6. 1952. in Gary. He was an employee with McGill Co..
