ATTENTION: WOOD BURNING STOVES A woodburning stove in your home can be a source of comfort or of catastrophe—it all depends on how it is installed and used. With steadily increasing energy costs, homeowners are turning more and more to woodburning stoves to supplement their home's heating system and to provide standby heat during an emergency. But many of these stoves are hastily installed, improperly vented, and fired beyond their rated capacity. In many cases little or no instructions are included with the stoves and, all too often, shortcuts are taken in an effort to save money. So if you're thinking about installing a woodburning stove, learn all you can before making a purchase. Find out what type is best suited to your needs and how to safely install, use, and maintain your stove. Read the instructions (if any) before proceeding. Better yet, have a competent dealer do the installation for you. To assist you, we've prepared a handy 22-page booklet that will provide the answers to most of your questions—answers that may save your life. Questions such as Which type of stove is most efficient? What type and size stove pipe should be used? What is the proper chimney height? How can creosote buildup be prevented? Which kind of wood gives the best heat? and many, many more. Even if you are already enjoying a woodburning stove, this booklet can prove invaluable to you and your family. Ask your Motorists agent for your copy todav It's free! A. M. The organ music for the ceremony was provided by Karen Malkowski, of North Liberty. The bride walked down a grass carpeted aisle, dressed in an empire style gown of ivory quiana.
The V-necked, spaghetti strapped bodice was becomingly jacketed with Italian lace and the sleeves ended in a picot edging at the wrist. A circular veil of pure silk illusion was attached to a miniature crown of side clips of lace embroidered with sequins and pearls. Her veil added a touch of sentiment since it was first worn by her mother on her wedding day. Maid of honor was Miss Debie Ellis who was attired in a long blouson dress of baby blue quiana featuring a Chantilly lace boloro vest added to the dress a soft line. A white picture hat with blue silk daisier and baby's breath topped off the charming outfit. Best man was Mr. Robert Alward who was attired in a baby blue tuxedo. The lapels and pockets were accented in a darker blue and he wore a blue ruffled shirt and bow ties were relieved by the white button carnations.
