The program will be given in the schools from kindergarten through fifth grade informing the children of crime prevention, shoplifting, bike safety, drug abuse and no matter the weather, plav safely together. Wolfenbarger Named ‘Member Os The Month’ 1 he Walkerton Emergency Medical Services Association, Inc., has started a new program called. ■'Member of the Month,” in which a member of the association is chosen each month for their outstanding ability, service and accomplishments rendered for the benefit of the organization. For the month of July. Garry Wolfenbarger. a W.E.M.S.A., Inc. driver for the past six months, received the award. Larry Dill, president of the W.E.M.S.A.. Inc., stated, “Many members of the W.E.M.S.A. have volunteered their time and services for the benefit of our organization, but this is the first time it has been publicly recognized and we plan on continuing to do so each month.” Dill would also like the public to know that the association is planning a feather party in September and a couples mini stag sometime in January as fund raisers for the labor costs of erecting their new ambulance building. Hope to see you all at our October meeting the first Wednesday of the month. JOHNSON TWP. REUNION OFFICERS MEET Officers of the 1979 Johnson I ownship reunion met on Monday evening at the home of the chairman. Floyd Dipert. Plans were made for the annual reunion to be held on Sunday. September 23. A carry-in dinner at 12:30 featuring a white elephant sale will be held. I hose present were Mr. and Mrs. John Dreessen. Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Hembree. Mrs. Dale Ullery, Mrs. Raymond Smith. George Williams. Mrs. Alma Daube and Mrs. Harold Knowlton. The Liberty Bell cracked in 1835 while tolling the death of Chief Justice John Marshall.
