Robert Johnson officiating. Mr. and Mrs. John Sheneman. 30692 New Road. North Liberty, are the parents of the bride and Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Noffke. Oak Lawn. Illinois, are the groom’s parents. The bride is a graduate of North Liberty High School and Valparaiso University. The groom is a graduate of H. L. Richards High School. Oak Lawn. Illinois, and a graduate of Valparaiso University. POST OFFICE ANNOUNCES LABOR DAY MAIL SCHEDULE The Post Office will operate on a holiday mail schedule in observance of Labor Day, Monday, September 3. Postmaster Robert Awald said. There will be no regular residential or business deliveries, and normal lobby window services will be closed. Certain expedited mail delivery services will continue during the holiday weekend. These include special delivery (if applicatable) and express mail. Mailers should call the Post Office at 586-3213 for information about rates and holiday schedules. Labor Day mail pick-up from collection boxes will be on a holiday schedule, as posted on the individual boxes, or determined by calling the Post Office. Normal mail service will resume Tuesday. tained us again on Wednesday. August 15. They arc very popular with our residents. We thank them for coming and bringing the dancing dolls and puppet puppy. On Thursday, August 16. in the morning, several of our residents were taken to the Community Building to share in the service of the all-denominational Christian Women's Fellowship. They returned with glowing reports of a very fine soloist and wishes that she could visit us here and let us all enjoy her music. They also enjoyed the refreshments. On Thursday evening, Rev. Richmond and some of his parishoners brought us services. We thank them for coming. In the absence of Rev. Corbett, members of the congregation of North Liberty Baptist Church brought us services on Sunday afternoon, August 19. We thank them.

On Monday evening a church service was brought to us by a minister new to us. the Rev. Raymond Beard, of Lakeside Baptist Church, in Lakeville. He brought with him a very good song leader and pianist. We thank them and will look forward to another visit from them. At our next birthday party, August 26, we will dedicate the plaque we have ready to the memory of Jospehine Drews. Her birthday was in August too, so we feel this is a fitting time. HALL OF FAME POLKA BAND TO BE IN LAPORTE On Saturday evening, September 8. the Marv Herzog Bavarian Polka Band will be at the LaPorte County Fairgrounds. Marv Herzog was a 1979 inductee into the International Polka Association Hail of Fame, in Milwaukee. Wisconsin. He is among
