Film Honoring Corrie ten Boom To Be Shown A new color motion picture honoring the life of Corriv ten Boom will be presented at Koontz Lake Missionary Church. Entitled "Corrie: The Lives She's Touched", the film, produced by World Wide Pictures, will be shown on Sunday. August 2b beginning at b: 30 p. m. Filmed in Denser before a live audience of more than 2.(MX) persons gathered to pay tribute to Corrie's ministry of love and compassion, "Corrie: The Lives She's Touched" shares in greater detail the events that have taken place in her life. Dutch Underground following the invasion of their homeland by Hitler's Nazi forces. They are credited with saving the lives of scores of Jews, by hiding them in a secret room in their home, and by arranging safe passage out of the country. For their effort, they were arrested in a surprise raid, and sent to prison. Corrie was sent to Ravensbruck Concentration Camp, and is the lone survivor of the immediate family. 1975 World Wide Pictures release, "The Hiding Place" has been dubbed into several foreign languages. and has been well received in England. Holland, and West Germany, as well as throughout the Far East. "Corrie: The Lives She's Touched". is hosted by Cliff Barrows of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Team, and features a number of surprise guests from Corrie's past, including her nephew', Peter van Woerden. who. as a youth, was also involved in the work of the Underground, and Diet Ehrlick, who was in the concentration camp with Corrie.
Other guests on the program included Jeannette Clift, the actress who portrayed Corrie in "The Hidding Place", and Tom Claus, an American Indian Chief who inducted Corrie into his tribe as an honorary member. Music is featured throughout the one-hour program by Evie Tornquist, George Beverly Shea, the Bill Gaither Trio, and by Tedd Smith, pianist and composer of the film score for "The Hidding Place''. According to the Reverend Lloyd George, pastor of Koontz. Lake Missionary Church, the showing is free and open to the public.
