The price tag on an appliance doesn’t tell you the total cost Usingjl^ ^J)does! (ENERGY SAVINGS PAYBACK) \\ \ fa // The more efficiently an appliance runs, the less energy it uses and the more money you save. That’s why the price tag doesn't give you the full story. Today when you buy a home appliance, you must consider two costs. 1. The original cost 2. The lifetime cost of operation The original cost is important, but with the cost of ail forms of energy increasing, it’s also important to “shop” for the appliance that will use less of your energy dollars through the years you operate that appliance. Here’s how ESP works. A new pilotless ignition gas range can save you up to 30% in fuel costs over a standard gas range. This energy saving feature, along with others, can give you an estimated total savings of about sll3 in operating costs over the years you use the range. You're saving a substantial part of the price tag cost! Actually, the Energy Savings Payback could be much greater with certain appliances. Gas Company representatives and appliance dealers will welcome the opportunity to explain ESP as it might apply to your appliances. The North Liberty Pioneers, a team of 12 and 13 year olds, sailed past two teams and sneaked by another to win the Rolling Prairie Invitational Tourney. Under the leadership of Richard Allsop, helped by his son, Todd Allsop, the Pioneers defeated Hudson Lake 22-2 in their first round game on July 28. The second game, a squeaker against a scrappy team from Fish Lake, took two days to complete. It was called at the beginning of the fifth inning with the score at one apiece, when rain washed them off the field. Three days later, a walk to Rodney Snyder in the sixth, followed by a hit by Terry Allsop and some gutsy base running by Snyder. brought the Pioneers the only other run in the game giving them
