’flu Jj OBITUARIES JOHN A. MAC LENNAN John A. MacLennan. 85, of 3300 NF. 36 Street. Coral Ridge Towers East. Fort Lauderdale, Florida, died on Monday. July 23 after a brief illness. He was a former Koontz Lake resident, having a cottage here for 20 years. He moved to Florida 14 years ago from Gary where he was an attorney at law. He was a lifetime member of 8.P.0.E. Lodge No. 1152, Hobart, and was past exulted ruler and past district deputy. He is survived by his wife, Eleanor A. MacLennan and a nephew, Paul A. Jones, Walkerton. Services were at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 26. at the JordanFannin Garden Chapel with Reverend Ernest Brickhouse of the First Congregational Church of United Church of Christ, officiating. Entombment followed at Forest Lawn Mausoleum. W.M.S. MEETS The Walkerton Wesleyan W.M.S. Women held their regular meeting in the church social room. August 6. Prayer was given by Pastor Cripe and Hazel Skinner gave the devotional scripture from Ps. 121:1-2. A skit was presented by Joyce Cripe. Pastor Cripe. Laura Wolfenbarger and Mildred McKesson. The topic W.M.S. Flight 777 to Zambia was given to help us be informed of the Wesleyan work in Zambia and to know better how to pray for the Missionaries and Nationals who labor for the Lord in Zambia. Thirteen were present and two guests. We were happy to have Esther Dearing back w ith us. Minnie Taylor came home from the hospital on Monday. August 6. In compliance with state law, parents of kindergarten children should bring their child's immunization forms with them at registration. Information concerning Home Base w ill be availalbe during registration. Home Base is a program where the parents are actively involved in teaching their pre-school children. Kindergarten classes will meet from 8:00 a.m. • 10:30 a.m. at Oregon Elementary and from 12:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. at Davis Elementary.
