Mr. and Mrs. Myron Mullet and their guests, Mrs. Craig Ramer and children, of Chattanoga. Tennessee. along with Katie and Adam Jacob, of Walkerton, attended a family reunion at Chesterton Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. William DePoy. of Koontz Lake, were Sunday visitors in Valparaiso with Mr. and Mrs. Earl Watson and their families. Mr. and Mrs. Mavotte Arseneau were in Valparaiso to attend the wedding of a cousin Saturday and went on to Calumet City, Illinois to spend Saturday night and Sunday with her sister. Mrs. Virgil Barker. Mrs. Lawrence Taylor, of Monroe, Michigan, came Sunday as a guest of Mrs. Esther Kaufman. On Monday evening they were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Amos Bierly and she is also visiting relatives at Kingsbury. Mrs. Bertha Urbin was in Rochester Friday for a birthday partv for her sister. Mrs. Anna Allen, a resident in the Canterbury Nursing Home. After a dinner served on the pagoda, as more guests came in the afternoon. Mrs. Allen was taken to her room where gifts were opened and cake and punch was served to all her guests. This was also celebrating one of Mrs. Allen’s sister’s birthday who was eleven years younger but with birthdays on the same day. Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Elder had guests from Crown Point and Highland. Indiana Wednesday and on Sunday more guests were there from Crown Point. In the afternoon these guests enjoyed an outing at Potato Creek State Park. Mrs. John Guttman and Mrs. Bertha Urbin were guests at a 12:30 luncheon given in the home of Mrs. Diane Schalloil, of Elkhart on Saturday. The luncheon was

given along with a bridal shower for Miss Elizabeth Guttman, the granddaughter of the two ladies from Walkerton. There were 18 guests present to enjoy the day. Mrs. Ellen Brede, of Koontz Lake, entertained at dinner in her home Friday evening for seven members of the singles club. Those persent were Miss Dorothea Brenner. Mrs. Crystal Lawrence and Mrs. Doris Schamer, all of Koontz Lake; Mrs. Bess Ferverda, Mrs. Rctta Williams, Mrs. Bertha Urbin and Mrs. Margaret DeMyer, a guest, all from Walkerton. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Stewart will be hosting the Koontz Lake Conservation Club dinner Saturday evening. Come out and have a good time. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Spier. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Spier and Mrs. Caroline Whitebirch returned home Wednesday night from Cory. Illinois, where they visited with Mr. Spier's sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Eyles on Tuesday and Wednesday. On Wednesday they drove to Crystal Lake, Illinois to visit their nephew , Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Eyles, Jr., and family. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Capek and family returned Saturday from a two week vacation at Big Pine Keys, in Florida. A Saturday neighborhood porch barbecue and pot luck dinner was held at the Koontz Lake home of Mr. and Mrs. George Behnke, with 42 people present. It was a fun evening and lots of good food put away. Lake is a patient in LaPorte Hospital. Mrs. Garland Lawrence is a patient in St. Joseph Hospital, in South Bend. Mrs. Ellen Rensberger and son Jeff, of Roann, were here for several days last week visiting her son and family, Mr. and Mrs. David Rensberger. Mr. and Mrs. Bud Schiorch and daughter Michelle, of Lafayette, spent last week here visiting Mr. and Mrs. Michael Butler and daughter. Mrs. Robert Johnson, Koontz Lake, entertained her bridge club on Monday afternoon. Maude Kellogg Celebrates 89th Birthday Mrs. Maude Kellogg, Il 19 Harrison Street, Walkerton, celebrated her 89th birthday on July 27 when eight of the Rebekah Lodge ladies came with a beautiful birthday cake and ice cream to help her celebrate. Mrs. Kellogg also received a call from her sister from Bell Gardens. California, and a lovely plant from her son. Jack. On Thursday evening her niece and husband, Mr. and Mrs. James Hunn. of Ardmore, came with a lovely cake and ice cream which was made by her daughter and granddaughter.
