Lorraine Hostetler, Chairman W.M.S. WOMEN MEET The Walkerton Wesleyan W.M.S. Women held their monthly meeting at the church on Monday, July 9. The service was opened with devotions and a scripture reading by Pastor Ronald Cripe, our new pastor. A skit was presented by Velma Shores, Vera Ullery and Mabel Calvert. There were 18 ladies present. The pastor was surprised by an old fashioned staple party presented by members and friends. A pot luck dinner was enjoyed by all. "The price we have to pay for money is paid in liberty."

Happiness Is Jim’s Standard Service Allowing Band Boosters To Hold Their Car Wash Thanks JIM & STEVEN For Your Help Thank You Farmers State Bank For Letting Us Have Our Bake Sale At The Bank Band Boosters Appreciate It Statewide Photography Contest "Indiana — Faces and Festivals" is the theme of the second annual statewide tourism photo graphy contest sponsored by the Indiana Department of Commerce Tourism Division, Lieutenant Gov ernor Rober D. Orr has announced The contest, which is seasonal, is open to all amateur and profession al photographers who are residents of Indiana or out-of-state students attending an Indiana college or university. Four winning entries will be se lected each season, with one entrv being named “Best of Season." The panel of judges will consist of professional photographers and representatives of Indiana’s tourism industry. The four photographers submitting entries judged "Best of Season" will receive free passes and overnight accomodations at one or more of Indiana’s tourist attractions. In addition, all 16 winners will receive a Lieutenant Governor’s Proclamation and a matted and framed copy of their entry. The 16 winning photos will comprise the 1980-81 Traveling Photography Show, which will be on display at various locations throughout Indiana. Contest rules state that all photos entered must have been taken in Indiana, and the content of submitted photos should be applicable to the "Indiana — Faces and Festivals” contest slogan. Contestants are allowed an unlimited number of entries. Color or black and white prints and transparencies may be entered. The photographic content of each picture submitted must be applicable to the season immediately preceding the deadling date. Entry deadlines are: September 14, for summer photographs; December 14, fall; March 14, 1980, winter, and June 13, 1980, spring.
