Mrs. Doroths Orr and Barbara Summerlin. all of Knox. The B F. and Susan Thompson descendants held their annual reunion on Sunday at Stuntz Pine Forest with 5b members attending. The usual basket dinner was the beginning of the day with guests coming from Plymouth, South Bend. Indianapolis and Walkerton; Lagrange and Hanover. Illinois and

Mancelona. Michigan. The group decided on Stuntz Pine Forest to be their meeting place next year and Herald Hostetler, Jr., president and Viola Barden, sec.-treasurer. Mr. and Mrs. George Behnke, of Kixmtz Lake, were hosts Sunday for their families from Gary, celebrating Mrs. Behnke's birthdav. Lhey came with a big decorated cake for Mrs. Behnke and the dinner was enjoyed in the Behnke home at Koontz Lake. Mrs. Gertrude Behnke. Mr. Behnke's mother of 90 years, came from Merrillville for the day. Miss Metsa Dunn, of Lafayette, spent several days here last week with her grandmother. Mrs. Fayette Dunn. The Pope family reunion was held Sunday at the Johnson Twp. club house with 42 present coming from Michigan. Illinois. Valparaiso. Chesterton. Kouts and Walkerton. Mrs. Martha Mull. Mr. Carl Steinke and Mrs. Gladys Prentis came back last week end from a trip. Mrs. Mull stopped off in Gooding, Idaho to visit her brother and sister in laws, and Mr. Steinke and Mrs. Prentis went on to Boise, Idaho to visit her daughter and family. Mr. and Mrs. James Nusbaum. Mrs. Faye Jones was in Rockford. Michigan, a couple of days last week end to attend the graduation exercises of her grandson. Kenneth Jones, from High Schixil, and she also visited friends there. On Saturday. June 9, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Houser were met in Ft. Wayne by their daughter. Ms. Roslyn Henthorn, where she entertained them with dinner at Jannelle's French Restaurant in honor of Mrs. Houser's birthday June 11, and Father's Day. They then drove to her home in Van Wert. Ohio, and returned home on Sunday evening. Mrs. Ruth Hayter, of New Smyrna Beach. be serving as hosts for the Koontz Lake Conservation Club carry-in dinner Saturday evening with a social hour follow ing. Mrs. Retta Williams visited Mrs. Louis Houser on Monday morning. June 11, and Mrs. Houser’s ‘Kelow Cousins’ honored her with a carryin luncheon for her birthday. Those attending were Mrs. Margie Neidlinger and Mrs. Mildred Williams of Plymouth. Mrs. Lois Klatt of Mishawaka. Mrs. Betty Harrell of Argos. Mrs. Pauline Knowlton and her daughter. Mrs. Sharon Drews and her two sons Chad and Kelly, of Walkerton. The afternoon was spent reminiscing and looking at childhood pictures. A delicious luncheon was enjoyed and a good time had bv all. Mrs. Bertha Urbin was in South Bend Saturday afternoon to attend a luncheon given at the South Bend Elks Club with the honored guests being Mr. and Mrs. Steve Lieberman. of Silverado. California. Steve and his new bride had arrived in South Bend a few days prior, and his parents. Mr. and Mrs. David Lieberman gave the luncheon to welcome Linda into the circle of family and friends. There were 75 guests present who enjoyed the good food, music and visiting. There were approximately 25 guests from Johnson Township and Walkerton attending the wedding of Mrs. Alta Bowers and Mr. Wilbur Andrews Sunday. Mr. Herbert Carlson and Mrs. Thelma Kickner, of Bradenton, Florida, were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Oren Duthie for several days last week. Mr. and Mrs. Immanuel Thompson, of Mancelona. Michigan, were week end visitors of relatives in the Walkerton area. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Wilson and daughter. Laura, of Sawyer. Michigan, were overnight guests Saturday in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joliie Back and Joni. The Backs, the Wilsons and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Farrar attended the Walkerton High School Alumni Banquet on Saturday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Wilson and Laura, along with Mr. and Mrs. Back and Joni, traveled to Chicago on Sunday where they spent an enjoyable day in spite of the cold rainy weather. Mrs. Arica Budrick and a friend, of Batavia. Illinois, visited on Sunday afternoon with Mrs. Bertha Urbin. Arica is the former Arica Hotchkiss, daughter of a former Methodist minister here. On Saturday morning Arlea received her masters degree from George Williams College, Downers Grove, Illinois, in social work. Saturday evening she attended the Walkerton High School Alumni Bauquet visiting with her classmates of 1959. Mrs. Vada Stull, Mrs. Nora Hahn, Mrs. Nellie Smith and Mr. and Mrs. Warner Clark left on Friday morning to spend the week end in Illinois. On Saturday they were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Anderson. Jr. and family in Chillicothe and on Saturday evening they were with Mr. and Mrs. Harold Anderson. Sr., in Pekin. Sunday was spent with relatives in
