Those who successfully completed the 40 hour course were Paulette Kennedy, Karen Peterson, Brenda Janovic, l isa luttle, Janice Houser, Kim Rizek and Beth Shortt. The graduates received a certificate of graduation and a Geriatric Aide Pin at the ceremonies. Refreshments were served afterwards. “Mother" was led by Helen Pogodzinski and Lois Sherland played the piano. The birthday song was । sung to Hazel Arseneau. The anniversary song honored Ruth Clark. Nora Hahn read last month's minutes, which were approved. Hazel Schultz gave the treasurer’s report. Martha Young gave a report on how to take care of things when one becomes a widow . Dorothy Walsh talked on the glass factories that were in Indiana, but many have closed. Ruth Clark told about times when she worked in the glass factory in Walkerton and she brought her cream pitcher and sugar bowl that she cut herself and is very proud of them. Helen Decker gave a report on “The Spring Fling’’. There will be cancer sewing next Wednesday. The committee for the day was Pat Cowger. Lois Sherland and Hazel Arseneau. The June committee will be Martha Young, Esther Dearing. Nina Bellinger and Weltha Burnside. Bingo was played and many won prizes.
