Triton 92 NOTES FROM MILLER’S MERRY MANOR By Florence Peek We thank the following ministers for services on Monday evenings during the last month, Rev. Shelly. Rev. George and Rev. Richmond, who also was here for a Thursdayevening service. We are sorry to learn that Rev. Hughes is leaving Walkerton and look forward to meeting his successor
Our resident. Zada Cicotte, was so happy and pleased that her nephew Nicky Harris, a minister, came from Memphis, Tenn., to Walkerton to conduct a week of revival services at the Baptist Church. On Ihursday. April 2b. a graduation ceremony was conducted for those aides who have completed the course for Geriatric Aides. I hose w ho received certificates and pins were Karen Peterson, Beth Shortt. Lisa Tuttle, Kim Rizek, Paulette Kennedy, Janice Houser. Yvonne Hajicek, and Brenda Janovic. Congratulations to each one of them and we hope they will become the kind of aides they dreamed about. Two of our residents passed away in April. Zella Mann and Lucille Thompson. We offer our • sympathy to their families. Harry Pherson fell and injured his hip so he has returned to the hospital. We wish him a quick recovery. Former aides will be interested to learn that April Reed, daughter of Becky Reed, is training here to become an aide. Others training with her are Ann Chamberlin, Kathy Vukovits and Kathy Saxton. Our sympathy is extended to Mary Moore in the loss of her son. Everett Ream, and to the other members of his family. Members of the Bible Study group regretted the announcement that because of poor health our teachers. Helen Wentz and Jane Gordon, have found it necessarv to curtail their activities. However we have been fortunate in having a replacement beginning April 26. Mrs. Mildred Smith has taken their place. We are grateful to her for coming to us. We thank Rev. Richmond and his parishoners for services on April 30. We enjoyed his lessons via the
