Florida; and Dr. and Mrs. V. B. Wolfe, Sebring, Florida. Many local residents were still at the Lake Placid area and it was good to sec them. The weather was warm. On the way home the dogwood trees were in full bloom through Georgia which made folks realize that spring is here. Easter Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. John Bellinger were Mrs. Arthur DeMyer, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bellinger and Gregg Bellinger. Miss Lauren Stevens and Mr. Scott Myers, of DePauw' University, Greencastle, were Saturday night and Sunday guests of her grandmother, Mrs. Ida Mae Watkins. Mr. and Mrs. Greg Doll and son, of Lawton, Michigan, and Mr. and Mrs. Don Swanson and son, of Valparaiso. were Easter Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Denslow Doll. Robert Gerber had as his Easter weekend guest, his B.S.U. roommate, Steve Montgomery, of Bloomington. Mr. and Mrs. Bryon Gerhart and I Laden entertained at an Easter dinner for Mr. and Mrs. Gene Gerber. Charley, Robert. RESIDENCE ASSISTANT Lynn Ellen Carter has been appointed as assistant in the Wheaton College residence hall program for 1979-1980. She is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. William D. Carter, Walkerton. residence hall assistants. Wheaton is a coeducational Christian liberal arts college of 1950 students located 25 miles west of Chicago. ON DEAN’S LIST Jill Lowry, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles A. Lloyd. 202 Hickory, Walkerton, has been placed on the winter quarter Dean's List at the University of Evansville. To attaing the Dean's List a student must have earned a 3.5 or better grade point average for the quarter while carrying 12 or more hours of credit. The University of Evansville is an independent, co-cducational. Methodist affiliated institution located in the southwestern corner of the State. It was founded in 1854. CAMPOUT SET FOR THE END OF APRIL District 4 is having a Fireman's Campout April 27, 28 and 29 at Eby's Pines Camp Grounds cast of Bristol on U. S. 120. All local firemen are invited to attend. The New Paris Fire Department and Ladies Auxiliary arc in charge of the week end and many special events are being planned. Trophies will be awarded. Instead of the usual pot luck dinner on Sunday we are asked to bring our own hot dogs or hamburgers and potato salad, baked beans and drink will be furnished by the committee. Also a bake sale will be on Saturday at the Eby Pines office to help raise money for Miss Flame. Plan now to attend. If you can not make it for the entire week end come for Sunday and enjoy some fun. The ladies will have their meeting on Saturday evening at 8:00 p.m. and the men will meet after dinner on Sunday. SWAN LAKE GOLF LEAGUE MEETING APRIL 24 I here will be a meeting of the Swan Lake Golf League on Tuesday, April 24, at 7:15 p.m., at the golf course. REPEAT PERFORMANCE OF CANTATA SUNDAY In response to many requests, the North Liberty Church of Christ choir will be singing the Easter cantata, “Alive” by Joe Parks, at the worship service at 10:30 a.m. this coming Sunday morning, April 22.
This beautiful cantata with taped . orchestration reminds us that the death of Jesus was not the end. His followers saw Him alive and knew Him as Lord and Savior. Soloists arc Mrs. Paula Limerick, lerry Kanipe and Mrs. Joyce RichI mond. Mrs. Marge Kobold and lorn Fair will be singing a special । duct arrangement. Pastor Charles t Richmond is narrator and the choir is under the direction of Mrs. George Henry. You will be blessed by the beautiful message of this cantata and invite everyone to attend. WED 65 YEARS '■ '7 ■' w* 1 *'k . »>,.0 W J ■r ■< The Charles Bellinger family gathered on Sunday for dinner at the Al-N-Dor Restaurant, Walkerton, in celebration of the 65th wedding anniversary of Charles Bellinger and Nina Hardy, who were married on January 3, 1914. They have four children; Grant Bellinger, of Walkerton; William Bellinger, of North Manchester; Betty Sheaks, of Willowbrook, Illinois; and Doris Wynn, of North Liberty. They also have seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The Bellingers make their home on the farm where they began their married life and where Mr. Bellinger was born.
