JUNE & BOYS Fifth Grade Students And Parents To Meet As a result of the Selmer Band survey and a rhythm and counting class at Walkerton Elementary School, recommendations for instrumental music training are being made. This method of discovering musical talent has proved successful wherever it is used, since only those boys and girls who can recognize rhythm and pitch are encouraged to take up the study of certain instruments. A very important meeting of all Walkerton Elementary fifth grade students and parents interested in joining the band will be held in the John Glenn High School Band Room on Thursday. April 5. at 7:30 p.m. All types of band instruments will be on display, and parents will have a chance to confer with Mr. Bloomfield. PU band director, concerning the future musical education of their child. The meeting should last approximately one hour. For additional information contact Mr. Bloomfield at 586-2927 evenings only.
