P-L-J SCHOOL BOARD NEWS The Polk-Lincoln-Johnson School Board met in regular session on I uesday night at the administration building. They appointed Jay Berkebile, a teacher at John Glenn High School, as golf coach for this spring. The board authorized the superintendent to make school assistance applications available for those parents who meet the guidelines set by the school board. The superintendent informed the

Bus number 17,I 7 , a 196 7 mtxlcl and located at the high school, will be sold at the next school board meeting to the highest bidder. Anyone interested in submitting a bid should contact the superintendent's office by noon on April 3. K M Associates, architect, represented by Terry Short, presented a more detailed feasibility study on the three school buildings. This study involves complete renovation of the Urey Middle School and compliance with the Handicap Act by the summer of 1890. The board instructed the superintendent to send a congratulatory letter to the Argos High School
basketball team and their coaches for their outstanding past accomplishment and their continued success at the state finals this week end. Prior to the meeting, an execu live session was held for the purpose of staff evaluation by the building principals The next meeting will be April 3 at ~:()0 p.m. in the administration building.
