March !!. at the Walkerton Presbyterian Church's worship celebration. The begins at 9:30 a m. at the church. 512 Georgia Street. The brass ensemble will present both classical and contemporary music selections. The group features Terry Hayes, trumpet; Cheryl Parsons, baritone; Steve Zook, trumpet; Melanie Turner, french horn; Rex Bulgrier. trumpet; and Jim Peacock, trombone. Bethel College is an accredited four-year Christian liberal arts college. The college, founded in 1947, offers both associate and bachelor of arts degrees.
Glenn Winter Sports Banquet Is March 15 The John Glenn High School winter sports banquet will be held on Thursday, March 15 at 6:30 p.m. in the high school cafeteria. At the banquet boys and girls basketball teams, wrestlers and the gymnastics teams will be honored. A carry-in dinner will begin the evening. Barbecue sandwiches will be furnished by the athleticdepartment. So come to John Glenn High School at 2:30 p.m. and see some of your favorite broadcasters such as Lynn Thornton, “J.T.” Jon Thompson. Chuck Whitaker, Norm Stangland and others, at the same time you'll be helping to raise money for equipment for our very dedicated Voluntary Fire Department. FACULTY AT GLENN TO PLAY WRBR RADIO TEAM The faculty basketball team at John Glenn will play the WRBR Radio team on Thursday evening, March 8 at 8:00 p.m. in the high school gvm. Admission is set at SI.OO.
Proceeds from half of the game will go to Logan Center, South Bend, and the other half to the John Glenn Athletic Department. Ihe packs w ill consist of discount coupons for ice cream, record albums, movie passes, etc. First Place In Sales Joan Freeman, manager for the House of Decorative Accessories, just returned recently from the annual national seminar at Dallas, Texas, where she won first place in sales above all managers in the nation. She received a silver chafing dish, a trip to Hawaii, black fox tails and crystal. Accompanying her was her husband. Duane. The Freemans have a daughter.
