Word has been received from Mrs. Marvin Stahly, who is staying in Dearborn. Michigan with her daughter, Mrs. Don Ries, of a fall in her home which caused her a minor injury and she is confined to bed and a wheel chair for several weeks. Her address is Mrs. Mar vin Stahly, 24059 Hanover, Dearborn Heights. Michigan 48125. Mrs. Herman Henry, Mrs. Russell Brown and Mrs. Nedra Smith went to Florida the first of January and Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Brown returned last Friday. They were at Tavares, Florida, where Mr. and Mrs. Henry have purchased a home on Lake Hams. Mr. Walter Smith received word of the death of his sister-in-law, Mrs. Alvin Smith, of Cocoa Beach, Florida, list Friday. Mrs. Ira Abrams is a patient in the LaPorte Hospital. Mr. Amos Bierly and Mr. Wayne Hostetler were dismissed from the LaPorte Hospital last week. Miss Tami Baker and Mr. Chet Paulson, of Bremen, were in Walkerton Sunday to call on Mr. and Mrs. Everett Baker. Dr. and Mrs. John B. Guttman, of Wakarusa, and Mr. and Mrs. Bob Urbin were Sunday evening dinner guests of Mrs. Bertha Drbin. Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Elder were Sunday evening dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Daniels. Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Elder will be serving as hosts for the Koontz Lake Conservation Club dinner Saturday evening with an hour of visitation and games following. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Stickley were Saturday evening dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Leigh Roy Hahn and family. Mr. and Mrs. Gaude Sheneman were in Walkerton Sunday to call on her mother, Mrs. Chester Thayer, at Miller’s Merry Manor, and Mrs. J. C. Milner, of the 76 Apartments. Sunday evening guests of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Lown and son were Rev. and Mrs. David Barnett and family and Mr. and Mrs. Norman Hostetler and family. Dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Freeman on Tuesday night of last week were Mr. and Mrs. Warren Baughman, of Bremen, and Mr. and Mrs. Rick Lichtenbarger. of Koontz Lake. On Sunday evening Mr. and Mrs. Larry Braner. of South Bend, were dinner guests. Sunday evening visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Agnew Ludwig were Mr. and Mrs. Bill Clark and Mr. and Mrs, Gerald Howard, of Koontz Lake. Mrs. Donald Daube was released last week from the LaPorte Hospital. Lorraine Ward Tyler Road SENIOR CITIZEN BOWLING The bad weather didn't keep the seniors home on January 17. We even had four new bowlers. Roman and Gert Brehm, Helen Smith and Vee Shogrcn. The men did a little better than the women. Emil Vische had a 477 series w ith a 199 game. Honorable mention goes to Chuck Joyce with a 1 "’9 game. Rev. Bow man with a 171 game and Eleanor Knight with a 164 game.
