Mrs. Earl (Edna) Leslie, formerly of Walkerton, returned to the Wesleyan Home, December 29. She and her husband, the late Earl Leslie, had lived at the home before. Edna is a native of Indiana, having lived most of her life in the northern part of the state. After high school she worked in the post office and that is where she met her late husband. They had a long and happy married life, having lived together 7 l'j years. They moved to Texas because their only son lived there. Her daughter-in-law, Mrs. June Leslie, continues to live in Texas. Lisa Creed, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Milford Creed, 105 Maple Street, Walkerton, is doing her internship in accounting at Mead and Company. Dayton. Ohio. She is also taking two courses at the University of Dayton. Miss Denise Sullivan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Sullivan, North Liberty, a sophomore at Ball State, has been placed on the Registrar's Roll of Honor as a result of her obtaining a 4.0 average carrying a full load. 16 credit hours, during the fall quarter. Mrs. A. G. Hunt was a Eriday evening dinner guest of Mr and Mrs. Louis Houser. Mrs. Irene Baker, of Ingleside, Texas, left last Thursday for home after spending a month here with Mr. and Mrs. Everett Baker. Mr. and Mrs. Pete Thornburg will be serving as hosts for the

Max Owen, son of Rev. and Mrs. David Owen, a former Presbyterian minister in Walkerton, was in a motorcycle accident and was seriously injured. Max has recovered enough to be doing physical therapy. He Is in the West Reading Rehabilitation Center, Room E 113, Morgantown Road, Reading, Pa. 19607. Mr. and Mrs. Rick Lichtenbarger, Koontz Lake, were Sunday evening supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Freeman. Mr. and Mrs. Max Steele have returned from a four week trip to Arizona and California, the high point being Christmas with their daughter, Carol Berger, and family at Phoenix, with the rest of the family also attending: Mr. and Mrs. Ernesto Marquez and family, of Durango, Durango. Mexico; Mr. and Mrs. Allen Comer and family, of Security, Colorado; and Richard Steele, of Salem, Oregon. The Steeles also visited Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Clark, former North Liberty teachers, at Lemon Grove. California; Rev. Henry Ball, former minister at the North Liberty Methodist Church, at Chula Vista. ON DEAN’S LIST Edwin A. Fenstermachcr, of Walkerton, is one of the 196 students who earned a place on the Deati's List for the fall semester at Taylor University. Upland Indi ana. Ed is a junior at the 132 year old Christian liberal arts institution and is the son of Dr. and Mrs. R. E. Fenstermachcr, 203 Clarke Blvd., Walkerton. To attain the Dean's List, a student must earn a 3.6 or better grade point average on a 4.0 scale for the semester, while carrying 12 or more hours of credit ON DEAN'S LIST Laura Jane Carter, Walkerton. Indiana, a student at Wheaton College, has been named to the dean's list for the first quarter of the 1978-79 academic year. Miss C arter is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. William Carter. Wa’kertor.. Dean's list honors are earned by students who carry 12 or more hours and average 3.4 grade points (4 is perfect) per quarter. Wheaton College is coeducational Christian liberal arts college located 25 miles west of Chicago. ON HONORS LIST The following students have been placed on the honors list at Ancilla College for the first semester from Walkerton: Cynthia King, Terry Howard and Dennis Holland.
