MSDC Santa’s Workshop Brings Christmas Joy Christmas is over and all the packages found under the tree have been opened. For Mom it may have been a new dress, jewelry, or the dutch oven she asked for; Dad may have received a new sweater or the electric drill that he needed; but we all know that the special magic of Christmas is watching small children awaken on Christmas morning and find all the pack ages under the tree. t hanks to many special people of Marshall County and Starke Counts . over 200children who would not otherwise have had any Christmas, experienced waking to find pack ages to open Santa s Workshop, sponsored by Marshall Starke Development Center, found its completion December 23 when the Firemen of Knox and Plymouth made their deliveries to over H 5 families. “Special people" included thousands of grade school child ten who gave their used toys and games, parents who also gave and frequently brought toss directly to MSD( . and the sch<x>ls who cooperated by collecting toys. But donating and collecting toys was only the beginning Busmes ses without hesitation, gave need ed materials for repairing and wrapping the hundreds of toys. During the week of December IK to 22 (the busiest week for everyone) individuals from various organiza tions faithfully arrived and wrap ped the toys. "If we listed all the special people who helped with this project, there would seem to be no end!" stated Marcia Fulton. Coordinator so .Adult Developmental Services al MSDC , who coordinated Santa's Workshop. "Christ mas.
