The annual Bierly family Christmas party was held on Sunday, December 10 with dinner at the Shore Room at Bass Lake. In the afternoon the group went to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Sydney Smith for home made ice cream and cake. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Lester Bierly, Mr. and Mrs. Amos Bierly, Mr. and Mrs. Russell Bierly, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Bierly, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Bierly. Miss Ethel Bierly, Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Smith and Mrs. Doris Malstaff. Miss Heather Hostetler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Hostetler. was home from Riley Hospital. Indianapolis, for the week end. This Saturday evening will be the Koontz Lake Conservation Club Christmas Party for members and their guests. A ham dinner will be served and members are to bring a covered dish. A fun grab bag will be enjoyed by all after the dinner with each member to bring a 25 or 50 cent gift for the bag. A good time is assured with Mr. and Mrs. Donald Dtpert as hosts. Mr. and Mrs. Warner Gark, Mrs. Vada Stull and Mrs. Nellie Smith were in Nashville. Tennessee from Friday to Sunday to sec the Grand Ole Opera, with freezing temperatures there but no snow. Mrs. Lynn Stull was released from LaPorte Hospital Saturday where she had been a surgical patient. Mr. John McCombs is a patient at the Mayo Ginic, Rochester. Minnesota. Mrs. Dorothy Burch is a patient at Healthwin, South Bend. Mrs. Donald Petry, of Hoopston, Illinois, is a patient in the Ocstopathic Hospital. South Bend. Miss Katie Jacob was the guest of honor Sunday in her home celebrating her seventh birthday. A dinner was served with the following guests, her parents. Helen left Wednesday for her home after spending some time at Koontz Lake with her mother, Mrs. Elsie Morris. UNCOLN TOWNSHIP HOMEMAKERS MEET The Lincoln Township Homemakers Extension Club met at the Community Building for a pot luck dinner. The committee for the day was Dorothy Knowlton. Clara Kcsl, Nedra Smith and Helen Decker. Ihe tables w ere decorated w ith many beautiful Christmas decorations. After a delicious dinner the business meeting was held. The birthday song was sung to several members and then several Christmas carols were sung with Lois Sherland at the piano. Cancer sewing will be next Wednesday. Martha Young read an article on exercise and Mary Jane Beaty read all about paper products made at Warren Paper Products in Lafayette, Indiana. A Christmas exchange was held with mans lovely gifts being received. Twenty-one members answered roll call by telling of their favorite Christmas ornament. Two Named As Sunshine Girls Os The Month Annette Allison and Diann Haag have been named Sunshine Girls of the Month for November Annette is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs Donald Allison. Walkerton, and Diann is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ned Haag. Plymouth. They will receive their award at the Ideal Ladies Tea in April. The officers are putting the December committees into action. They arc going caroling at the Miller s Merry Manor. Walkerton, later this month. TRI KAPPA NEWS The Epsilon Chi Chapter of Kappa Kappa Kappa held their regular monthly meeting on De cembcr 7 at the Holiday Inn in LaPorte. The following charter members were present to help Epsilon Chi celebrate their 18th birthday, Mrs. Denslow Doll, Mrs. Robert Gardner, Mrs. Mahlon Ja cob and Mrs. Bryce Rohrer. President, Ms. Virginia Coffin, presided at the business meeting. Mrs. Robert Mercer, co-chairper-son of the Christmas Bazaar, reported that the annual event was very successful. A final report will be given when all bills and monies have been turned in. Mrs. Glenn Jacob and Mrs. James Patterson will be representing our chapter as Delegate and Alternate, respectively, at State Convention next spring. Hostesses for the evening were Mrs. Larry Hiler.
