N.L. Wrestlers Win Triple Dual Meet Saturday Ihe North Liberty Shamrock matmen won the St. Joseph triple dual meet last Saturday at the St. Joseph High School. The wrestlers finished with a 3-0 record for the day as they beat South Bend Clay 40-22, St. Joe 31-23 and North Judson 66-8. The wins raised their season record to 4-1 after the Saturday action. St. Joseph ended the day's action with a 2-1 record beating both Clay and Judson while Clay was 1-2 with their win over Judson and the Bluejays lost all three of their matches. Lenny Stanfield. Tim Vanderheyden. Byron Shetler, Mike Spillman. all finished with 3-0 for the day's work. Bob Loucks. Jim Kalafat, Steve Hayes. Lonnie Shetler, Ed Swoverland, Steve Shonkwiler and Mark. Romw alter each won tw o matches. Mike Spillman was the Shamrocks’ outstanding wrestler by pinning all three of his opponents. The next wrestling match will be Thursday. December 14. at La Ville.
