NSC Games Await Both Local Teams This coming week end will be a crucial time in Northern State Conference play for both the John Glenn Falcons and the North Liberty Shamrocks. Both teams has lost their first three games and both will have two conference games in the coming five days as the Glenn Falcons will play twice at home and the Shamrocks will play three times, once at home and twice on the road. Glenn, still seeking their first win. will host New Prairie on Friday night in a NSC clash that finds a Cougar team that lost almost everything from last year’s squad. They are likewise winless this early season. B-Team action will start at 7:00 p.m. On Saturday night, the second straight NSC game will feature the Fairfield Falcons at Glenn. Fairfield holds an overtime conference victory over New Prairie so far this year. This B-Team game will start at 6:30. Strange as it seems and due to a very poor schedule set-up which has been the case for several years, these two home games will finish half of Glenn's home schedule for this 1978-79 season in just five games and the Falcons won’t be at home again for eight full weeks when they play the Knox Redskins on February 3. The Shamrocks have a busy week end carrying through to Tuesday night. On Friday they host a very big and talented South Bend Gay team with action starting at 6:30 p.m. On Saturday, a conference game with the Culver Cavaliers, the newest member of the Northern State Conference, will be played at the Culver Community High School gym. B-Team action there will start at 6:30 also. Another conference game will be played on Tuesday night.
