Ihe storv is serendipity in giving thanks of one of the joys of retirement and living alone. One morning in grace the author realized that she should prav for everyone that had a part in prepar ing her coffee, breakfast fixxi and milk Since then she asks blessings on many people she does not know who provide her food. She knows that serendipity in giving thanks can come with each meal. Mrs. Kaufman also read thanksgiving declaring our dependence. Sylvia Holland gave the lesson. She had a prayer Thanksgiving is to thank Jesus for us. She read “The Most Amazing Day of My Life” from the book Seven Steps to Vital Faith. It was the story of a man who was a gambler His mother was very religious and prayed for a change in his life. She also had others to pray for him. One day he stopped at a revival meeting and made the change. Praver does help. November 20. with 15 members present Mrs Gene Gerber, leader, opened the meet ing with prayer and then read a poem ” I hanksgiv ing Day” bv Ina Englert. She also read "The First Thanksgiving” by George Willison. Roll call was answered with "For what are you thankful?” Mrs Rubs Snyder, secretary, read the minutes. Mrs. Elizabeth Martin gave the meditation of the Least Coin. Mrs Norman Hostetler was in charge of our question of the month for our "Hunger Project.” Mrs Walter Pkkavet gave the lesson. "What is a 'fruitful' Chris tian '” from the book "Tell It Like It Is." Refreshments were served bv the hostess. Mrs Robert Ross.
