Mrs. Charles Bandendistel accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Dick Bandendistel. of Fish Lake. Sunday, to Mishawaka. where they visited with Mr. and Mrs. Harry Duffey. Also Mr. and Mrs. Marion Sharpe, of Muncie, were present. A delicious dinner was given in honor of Mrs. Sharpe's birthday. Last Thursday Mrs. Vi Bregi and Mrs. LaVerne Dini drove to Ball State University to pick up Lizz Dini and bring her back to Koontz Lake to spend a long week end with her parents and friends. Mrs. R. N. LaFcber and Mrs. John Schamer came home Sundav afternoon after being at Turkey Run for three days attending a fall retreat and training session of the United Presbyterian Woman’s Society. Mr. and Mrs. William Erzig will be serving as hosts for the Koontz Lake Conservation club dinner Saturday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Stoneburncr. Mrs. Chester Thayer and Mr. and Mrs. Claude Sheneman were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Don Teter, in Mishawaka. Mrs. Richard Kickbush. Mrs. Walter Smith. Mrs. Albert Huhnke and Miss Ethel Bierly went to Huntington Saturday to attend a meeting of United Methodist Women of the North Indiana Conference of the United Methodist Church. Mrs. Alma Daube and Miis Ethel Bierly were in Plymouth Thursday to visit a Marshall County Home Economics work shop where ali kinds of silk flowers were made and on displav, plus many other items of interest. Mr and Mrs. Lewis Kemp spent Sunday in Silver Lake. Indiana, visiting her daughter and family. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Bradord. An early Thanksgiving dinner was prepared for the Kemps as they will not be here at Thanksgiving time.

Mr. and Mrs. Everett Baker and Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Baker and family, of Bremen, were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Baker. Carla and Paul. 1 his was a birthday dinner honoring Paul. Sunday dinner guests of Mrs. Julius Erdelyi were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Erdelyi and familv, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Erdelyi and family, Mr. and Mrs. Julius Erdelyi. Jr., and family, all of Walkerton, and Mr. Frank Erdelyi, of South Bend. Mr. and Mrs. Louis Houser took a vacation from October 10 to the 24 to San Diego, California, visiting Mr. and Mrs. William Hasse and family. Friday of last week Mr. and Mrs; Louis Houser were in Decatur, Illinois, to visit Mr. and Mrs. Richard Conscrriere and familv. Mrs. Conscrriere was the former Shirley Marquis and well known in Walkerton. On Saturday they went to St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis to visit Mrs. Dorothv Burch, a former Walkerton resident. w ho is very ill. Mrs. Olive Fagel, of LaPorte, and Mrs. Bess Hopper were Sunday afternoon visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Led Keeling. Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Burnside, of South Bend, spent Sunday with his parents. Mr. and Mrs. Wilder Burnside. Tuesday evening of this week. Mr. and Mrs. Craig Burnside. of South Bend, and Mrs. Edith Baumgartner, of Milford, were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Wilder Burnside. Mr and Mrs. Lewis Kemp returned on Tuesday. October 31. from an air trip to Salt Lake City. Utah, where they met a sister who took them to several points of interest and to visit throughout the state with relatives and friends. Mr and Mrs. Raymond Beagles and Mrs. Arthur DeMyer were in Indianapolis last Thursdav where thev were joined bv Rev and Mrs.
( lyde Wake, of Sullivan, for dinner and a visit. Rev and Mrs. Robert C. Bowman. Koontz Lake, visited their daughter and family at Parker, Colorado for 10 days. Enroute thev were guests of friends in Council Bluffs. lowa, and Omaha. Nebraska. The Louis Kemps have as their house guests their daughter. Mrs John Lanham, and Linda. Mr. Robert Schmeltz returned from a 4.5(X) mile trip to Niagra Falls. Boston. New York City, the east coast and in Florida where feature items were visited. He was accompanied by two gcxxl friends. Mrs. Dorothv Phillips and Mr. Rick Phillips. Mrs. Alta Bowers was a Sundav dinner guest of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Manteck. in LaPorte. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Brown were in Morocco, Indiana. Wednesday and Thursday visiting with her cousin. Mrs. Edna McKenney. Miss Heather Hostetler, five year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Hostetler, is a surgical patient in Indiana University Hospital in Indianapolis, and her condition is listed as satisfactory . Mr. and Mrs. Ed Cole and familv were Sunday dinner guests of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Beatv. Last Saturday evening a birthdav party was given honoring Mrs Mamie Hahn. Her daughter's birthdav, Mrs. James Farrer, of Bremen, was also honored. There were 31 present to honor Mrs. Hahn and daughter and wish them many more happy birthdays.
