SERVICE NOTES October 24 — Coast ^Guard Machinery Technician Third Class Kenneth J. Legge, and Coast Guard Subsistence Specialist Second Class Robert C. Legge, sons of Robert C. and Joyce A. Legge, of 511 Virginia Street. Walkerton, Indiana, recently completed a deployment in the Arctic Ocean. They are serving as crewmembers aboard the Coast Guard cutter Westwind, homeported in Milwaukee. During the three-month curist. his cutter escoreted supply ships through the Arctic ice pack to Thule Air Base in Greenland. Additionally, Westwind participated in scientific research ot glacier movement along Greenland's western coast. During the cruise he and his shipmates visited Norway and Scotland. The Westwind is a 2b9-foot icebreaker and carries a crew of 135 officers and enlisted personnel. Her crew normally is augmented

will not qualify an individual for the photo exempt status. As a result of the additional screening process, a built-in lag period is created in the normal rapid issuance of the driver’s license. Consequently , the Bureau of Motor Vehicles is requesting that any individual desiring photo exempt status apply for his new license at least thirty days prior to the expiration of their driver’s license. In so doing, the screening process may be accomplished while the individual’s license is still valid. If for any reason, there is a delay in the pnKcssing of the exemption, a temporary license will be issued.
