Everyday thev enter each room to empty waste paper baskets, polish mirrors and washbasins and refill paper containers and any other chores necessary to make nxims presentable. Each of them is a genius for seeking out and finding misplaced possessions, thus bringing satisfaction to upset residents. We thank them for all thev do above and beyond the line of duty . NEWS Mrs. Robert Hillman and Alfred Drews presided in the Fast for the October 1 meeting of the Walker ton Chapter 319. Order of the Easter Star. This meeting had been designated for honoring friends. Mrs. Hillman greeted members and guests with a humorous soliloquy of a Pumpkin Face. Other chapter members introduced were George Pfeiffer. Mrs. Russell Smith. Mrs. George Hillis, Mrs Vi Bregi and Mrs. Roy Newell, all of Illinois chapters, but residing at Koontz lake. Also Mrs Mabel Dewey. Mrs. Helen Smith, Mr and Mrs. Richard Sumpter and Miss Lynette Sumpter of North Liberty Plans were discussed for a Ma sonic and Eastern Star family turkey dinner to be held Saturday. November 18 at the temple at 6:30 p.m. Reservations are to be in bv November 10. It is hoped both hxiges w ill plan to attend Mrs. Hillman reported that Mrs Carl Neindorf and Mrs. Mabel Dewey accompanied her to the Walkerton Nursing Home prior to the meeting where they visited two chapter members residing there. Mrs. Bess Turnbull and Mrs Mabel Anderson, and others there affiliated with other chapters, leaving a token of friendship and love from the Walkerton chapter Mrs Hillman contributed to the birthday bank. Protems were Mr and Mrs. Myron Mullet and Mrs Marv Bauer. During the social hour a large birthday cake centered the serving table in honor of Mrs. Hillman Harold Button baked and decorated the cake A gift from the chapter was presented to Mrs Hillman Mr and Mrs Button and Mr and Mrs. Don Wolfenbarger were in charge of refreshments.
