The source of this tempting scent was the sixth annual pie baking contest. The Foods and Nutrition class competed by kitchens in baking the most attractive, flakey and delicious two-crust apple pie. Each year. Mr. Don Eberly provides the apples, and awards prizes for the winners. This year the best pie number one was baked by Rhonda Fisher. Lori Hummer and Vic Solmos. Iwo kitchens tied for second place; students Brent Chamberlin. Michelle Hanley. Meshell Minton. Loretto Roe. John Summers and Shari Ireber were runners-up. Judges for the contest were Mrs. Joanne Bendall, Coordinator of Home Economics; Mr. Joseph Lawecki, assistant principal of North Liberty High School; Rev. A. P Wenger; Mrs. Kenneth Holder read; Mrs. Arthur Veclotch; Mrs. Paul CHngenpeei; and Mr. Don Eberly.
Set Donkey Basketball Game Here Nov. 3 A: John Glenn High School. America's craziest and most unpredictable sport. Donkey Basketball, will be featured at the John Glenn gym at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. November 3. The teams will be made up of Faculty versus Sunshine Girls; and Glenn Gang versus the girls volleyball team. The Donkey Basketball game is sponsored by the John Glenn Sunshine Society.
