Announce Chairmen For Style Show Mrs. John Powers, president of the St. Patrick Womens Club. Walkerton, is chairman for the annual fall style show to be held on Wednesday. October 25, at "30 p.m. in the school hail. Os special interest will be the awarding of a three-quarter length light grey mink fur coat with grey leather trim from Kimble Furriers, of Bremen. Second prize will be a makeup kit and third prize is a genuine leather bag. Tickets arc now available from club members or at the door at $1.25. The show is for the benefit of St. Patrick School. Platz. 82, of 62555 Poppy Road, North Liberty, who died at 1:00 a.m. Friday, October 13. were at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday at the A. M. Manuel Funeral Home. North Liberty. Rev. Frank Levi, pastor of the Beaver Creek Wesleyan Church, officiated. Burial was in the Lakeville Cemetery. Lakeville, • Indiana. He was born on February 29, 1896. in Lakeville and lived in the North Liberty area most of his life. His wife. Gladys, died on July 22, 1977. Surviving are a daughter, i Mrs. Joy Carr, of South Bend; a » son. Hillis P. Platz, of North Liberty; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

OLIVE FERN HUNT Mrs. Olive Fern Hunt. 58. of 67050 State Road 23. North Liberty, passed away at 9:20 a.m. on Wednesday. October 11. in Memorial Hospital. South Bend, after a long illness. She was horn on August 31. 1920. in Walkerton, and had lived in North Liberty for 31 years. On January 19. 1947. she married Elmer Hunt, who survives. She was a former employee of Wilcox Supermarket. North Liberty. Also surviving arc two sons, John, of South Bend, and Jerry, of Bremen; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bellinger, of Walkerton; two sisters. Mrs. Helen Lazarek. of Walkerton, and Mrs. Mary Edwards. of South Bend; and a brother. John Bellinger, of Walkerton. Services were at 2:00 p.m. on Friday in the A. M. Manuel Funeral Home. North Liberty, with Rev Kenneth Corbett, pastor of the First Baptist Church. North Liberty, officiating. Burial was in Westlawn Cemetery. North Liber ty. WALTER R. JACKSON Walter R. Jackson. 66. of 505 Roosevelt Road. Walkerton, died on Tuesday. October 17 at Walkerton of an apparent heart attack. He was a retired barber. He was born on April 28. 1912 to William and Ellen (Kaufman) Jackson in Johnson Township. LaPorte County. He was a lifetime area resident. On December 31. 1941. in South Bend, he married Mildred G. McNaughton, who survives, along with two daughters. Mrs. Kenneth Chapman, of Walkerton, and Mrs. Kenneth Bergner, of Fort Wayne; four grandchildren; a sister. Mrs. Elmer Blum, of Hamlet; and a brother preceded him in death. Services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday , October 19, at the Nus-baum-Elkin Funeral Home, Walkerton, with Rev. William E. Hughes, pastor of the United Methodist Church. Walkerton, officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Walkerton. He was a member of the United Methodist Church. Walkerton; the Walkerton Masonic Lodge 619. HELEN ESTHER HARMAN Mrs Helen Esther Harman. 76. of 204 1 2 East Center Street. North Liberty, died at 2:45 p.m. Sunday in Memorial Hospital. South Bend, after a brief illness. She was born on Februarv 25. 1902. Liberty Township and lived in this area all her lite. Her husband. Charles M. Harman, died in 1935. Surviving are three daughters. Mrs. Avis Whiteleather and Mrs. Faith Sorgenfrei. both of South Bend, and Mrs. Wilma Bailey, of Goshen; nine grandchildren: a sister. Mrs. Gertrude Hawblitzel. of Glendora. California.
