RAINBOW NEWS Kathy Rohrer, Worths Advisor of Walkerton Assembly No. M. presided at the stated meeting held Monday night. September 11. at the Masonic Temple. During the business meeting, the election of officers was held Connie Clark, daughter of Mr and Mrs John Clark. Walkerton, was elected as Worthy Advisor. Her public installation will be held September 30. in the Masonic Temple at 7:30 p.m.

son. Grand Chaplain of the Indiana Order of Rainbow for Girls. Dawn ( Carlson and herself had attended Masonic Home Day on Sunday. September 10. held in Franklin, Indiana. I his is an Annual Pilgrimmage of all Masons, Eastern Star members. Rainbow Girls. Jobs Daughters and DeMolav Bovs from the State of Indiana attending. Ihe girls from Walkerton participated in the Rainbow Choir which was part of the program. Celebrating birthdays were fammv Whitteberry. Sherry Klinedinst, Russell Lawrence and Mother Advisor Florence Erickson. The girls presented Mom Erickson with a beautiful decorated cake and a gift of love. Everyone was invited to the social room tor cake, punch and watermelon. The next meeting will be held September 25, at the Masonic Hall. Guests present were Mr. Al Drews, Grand Lecturer of District 2b; Mrs. Irene Whitteberry. Assisting Grand Deputy of District I; Mr. and Mrs. Russell Lawrence, Mrs. Retta Williams and Mrs. Neva Klinedinst, all of the Advisory Board. COMPLETES TOUR Captain David B. Frame, an Air Force Academy Liaison Officer for North Central Indiana, has completed a brief tour of active duty at the Academy near Colorado Springs. Colorada. He is an Air Force Reserve Officer assigned as an official admissions counselor for the Academy in his home area. He was briefed by members of the Academy faculty and staff on various phases of the academic, athletic and airmanship programs which prepare cadets for Air Force officer careers. He also toured the modern facilities and observed cadets in their training programs. Captain Frame serves as an Academy Liaison Officer in addi tion to his civilian occupation as Elementary School Principal. Students, parents and school guidance counselors may obtain information about the Academy by contacting him at lib Shamrock Street. Walkerton. Indiana. O.E.S. Worthy Matron Judy Hillman and Worthy Patron, Alfred Drews, welcomed the sideliners and officers. Mrs. Hillman read a poem "At Ihe Summer’s End". Day at the Masonic Home in Franklin. Several members and Rainbow Girls plan to attend. Mrs. Hillman promised that the next meeting, September 19, would honor past matrons and past patrons, also 25 year members and the floral degree will be given by Miss Ava Stiver, of Goshen. Mrs. Jasper Elkin will give the Bible degree and present the Bibles they hold during their inititiation to recent candidates. I he annual recognition of the life of Robert Morris was read by Mrs. Hillman. He was the auther and founder of the Eastern Star ritual. Ihe charter was draped in memory of Brother Harry Doll, recently deceased. Jasper Elkin and Florence Erickson contributed to the birthday band. A Back to-School theme decorated the tables for the social hour that followed, hosted bv Mrs. Myron Mullet and Mrs. Glen Jacob. A large bouquet of glads centered the serving table. I he true believer in the merit, or honor system, will accept nothing that he hasn't earned.
