POLK TOWNSHIP Lowell Taylor received the grand champion light meat pen rabbits at the Marshall County fair two weeks ago. John Schmidt was the best of breed with his New Zealand Blacks. In the California breed . Rita Schmidt was the best of breed with her rabbits.

Rita Schmidt, third place with her California senior buck. Tom Traversa, fourth place with his New Zealand white senior buck and he also received third place with his senior doe. Helen Schmidt, eighth with her senior doe. New Zealand white. She also placed third with her intermediate buck; eighth with her intermediate doe; and sixth with her junior doe. Daniel Martin, third with his New Zealand white intermediate doc. Lisa Schmidt placed fourth with her Satin senior doe. She also place fourth with her junior buck. Rick Duff was eighth with his Satin senior doc. Larry Hendricks was ninth with his doe and litter. Jeff Swank placed sixth in the first year light meat oen. Susan Fontanes, fourth place, in the second year of the light meat pen and Juan Fontanes placed sixth. Larry Hendricks, third in the first year heavy meat pen. Jeff Swank placed 13th and Jenny Swank. 14th. Amv Martin, eighth; Dan Martin. Suann Fontanes. IOth; and James Schmidt. 11 th m the second year heavy meat pen. Rita Schmidt, third in the third year heavy meat pen. Jeff Drake, fourth and John Schmidt, seventh, in the fourth and fifth year heavy meat pen judging. In the horse and pony judging at the Marshall County Fair Monica Wise placed first; Larrv Wise, second; and Jeff Drake, fourth in the 1978 Foals 56 inch and over. Missy Brown was first in the two year old 50 inch and under 56 inch judging. Marcia Osborn, third, in the three year old and over gelding under 50”. She also was fourth in the 50 inch and under 56 inch judging. Daniell Webb placed ninth in the registered quarter horse three year old gelding 56 inch and over class. Suann Fontanes was second with her grade 3 year old Gelding 56 inch and over. Tom Traversa was second with his three vear old mare and over under 50 inch. Missy Brown was first with her mare, three year old and over 50 inches and under 56. Ed Segraves placed third. Deb Jenney was third in the judging of the mare grade three year old 56 inch and over and Missy Brown was sixth. Monica Wise placed second and Jo Segraves. third in the Registered Buckskin three year old mare and over judging. Lam Wise, first; Jeff Drake, second; and Monica Wise, fourth, in the Registered quarter horse mare and foal 56 inch and over judging. Senior showmanship judging found Deb Jenney in third place and in the junior showmanship Marcia Osborn, fifth; Monica Wise, sixth; and Daniell Webb, seventh Monica Wise received the reserve champion gelding over 56”. Missy Brown Champion in the Marc judging ol 50 to 5b inch Deb Jcnncv placed third in the enghsh pleasure, senior division. Marcia Osborn, first; and Daniell Webb, second, in the enghsh pleasure, junior division.
