Mr. and Mrs. Ted Wolfe, of Park Forest. Illinois, were Saturday evening guests of his aunt. Mrs. Glen Walz. Twelve members of the Senior High Fellowship Group of the United Methnodist Church. Walkerton. attended an Institute at Ep worth Forest for the week and returned back home on Saturday. Mr. Victor Liscicki. St. Petersburg. Florida, spent a couple of days here visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Dean Knowlton and families. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hostetter returned last week end from a two week stay at Upper Saramac Lake, New York, where they were visiting her daughter and family. Mr. and Mrs. Virgin Gwin returned home on Monday after celebrating their 45th wedding anniversary in Wisconsin. They visited Little Switzerland, at New Glarus; Monroe, the cheese capital; Little Norway at Mt. Horeb and The Horse on the Racks, north of Dodgeville. On their return trip home they stopped at Dubuque and Galena. Mr. and Mrs. William Dickson, Koontz Lake, were hosts on Sunday afternoon for the Brotherhood Group and their wives of the Immanuel Lutheran Church. Donaldson. Refreshments were served by the hostess. Mrs. Mabel Murphy, of LaPorte, was a Sunday visitor of Mrs. J. C. Milner. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Lindsley and Mike came home last week end from Pontiac. Michigan, where they had been visiting their son, Mr. and Mrs. Steve Lindsley, and daughter. Miss Jodi Lindsley returned with her parents after spending two weeks there. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Holt and Susan, of New Haven, entertained on Sunday at their cottage on Lake Lavine, near Coldwater. Michigan, for the following relatives. visiting. Jcrrv Corbett, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Corbett, is a surgical patient in the LaPorte Hospital. He would love to hear from his friends from home. He is on the sixth floor. Word has been received of the passing of Mrs. Andrew (Agnes) Polarek. formerly of Walkerton, of Effingham, Illinois. Burial was on Wednesday in Lansing. Illinois. Last Friday evening Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Bierly, Mrs. Sydney Smith. Miss Ethel Beirly and Mrs. Alta Bowers, all of Walkerton, along with Mrs. Wilma Hockett and Mrs. Martha Travis, of La Port, went to Reynolds, Indiana, for the 40th wedding anniversary celebration of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Coffin. A dinner was given by the Coffins for their guests on a boat on Lake Freeman, at Monticello. There were also other guests from the Coffin’s hometown who also joined in the celebration making it a wonderful evening on the beautiful lake. A birthday party was held on Wednesday at the Hayloft Restaur ant. Ply mouth, by the 0.N.0. Club of Chicago. The honored guest was Mrs. Caroline E. Newell, Koontz Lake, who is an honorary member of the club. Her birthday is on August 28. The group found the restaurant very unique and enjoyed the day. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Dipert will serve as hosts for the Koontz. Lake Conservation Club dinner on Saturday with an hour of fellowship following the carry-in affair. Mr. and Mrs. Joh Solmos were in Carmel, Indiana, over the week end as guests of Mr. and Mrs. Larry McDaniel and daughter. Mr. and Mrs. David Solmos and family, of Indianapolis, were also guests on Sunday to help in the celebration of John’s birthday . Mrs. Jean King. Mrs. Peggy Glauding, Mrs. Carl Schober and Tom Coughlin were Monday evening supper guests of Mrs. Arthur DeMyer. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Stickles and Mr. and Mrs. Rick Ruby and daughters returned home on Sun dav from vacationing in the eastern states. I heir first stop was at Hershey. Pennsvlvania. where they toured the Hershey Candy factors. Nest they went to Cooperstown. New York, to see the baseball hail of fame and then on to Maine to Bar Harbor and toured the Arcadia National Park. From there they went to Niagra Falls and Toronto and then back home. A trip of interest and grand camping places with the weather cooperating made a lovely trip.
