Others are helping in the egg hunt using may cartoon characters of Walt Disney. — photos by Michael Pearish These colorful murals will greet the children when they enter the building at the Walkerton Elementary Sch<x>l on August 25. The murals were done by the John Glenn High School Art Club under the direction of Mr. John Thomas. Each mural is six foot by eight foot and depict four holidays celebrated during the school year. WAYNE HOSTETLER TO HAVE BOOTH AT FESTIVAL Historic Amish Acres in Nappanee. will present the Ibth Annual Pletcher Village Art Festival Thursday through Sunday, August 10-13. Wayne Hostatler has been awarded a booth in the Art & Craft Market place. More than SIBOO in cash prizes will be awarded to the winning paintings and crafts from the booths of over one hundred and eighty artists from across the midwest. Amid colorful awnings through out Amish Acres' tree-lined orchard. potters will spin their wheels while silversmiths and weavers work to the gentle twang of dulcimers and banjos. Silhou ettc cutters, portrait artists, woodcarvers and doll makes will ply their trade and sell their wares. The four das artists' weekend is
designed around the Amish heritage and folk art ot the historic restoration and the Nappanee area. Horse and buggy rides, guided tours and demonstrations provide an intriguing background for the art displas and market. Famils style dinners in the air conditioned restaurant and spit roast pig. sausage and sauerkraut under the big tent, as well as apple cider, sweet corn, funnel cakes, and ice cream, will give festival visitors all they want to eat and more. From the sounds of the fiddle and guitar to the square dance caller, plus Punch and Judy, a stream of entertainment will fill the summer air during the four day festival The word "veto” comes from a Latin word meaning”! forbid
