RAYMOND WOLFF Funeral services for Raymond Wolff, 69. of Route 4. Walkerton, who passed away at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. July 18. were held at the Tyner United Methodist Church on Friday at 2:00 p.m. Rev. James Price, pastor, officiated. Burial was in the Tyner Cemetery. Wolff died at Plymouth's Parkview Hospital at 8:00 p.m. after suffering a heart attack. He was born on June 7. 1909. in Polk Tow nship to Walter and Susie (Reid) Wolff and had lived in Marshall County all of his life. He married Pearl Gardner on December 22. 1934. who survives, along with two sons, John and James, both of Walkerton: a daughter. Mrs. Janet (Daniel) Smith, of Walkerton; and five grandchildren. Mr. Wolff was a farmer and long time school bus driver in the PolkLincoln Johnson School Corporation. JEREMY KISSINGER Graveside services were held on Saturday. July 22. for Jeremy Kissinger. who was stillborn at 10:49 a.m. on Friday, July 21. at the Osteopathic Hospital, South Bend, at the Morris Cemetery, Polk Township. with Rev. Wesley Brubaker, of the Wayside Chapel, officiating. He is survived by his parents. Robert and Cheryl (Carpenter) Kissinger, of Walkerton; a sister. Jennifer Joann, at home; his paternal grandfather, Robert Kissinger; maternal grandmother, Mrs. Louise Bolin, of Salt Lake City. Utah; and his maternal grandfather, Richard Carpenter, of Ohio. MRS. ANN A B. KUNE Mrs. Anna B. Kline, 79, of Route 1. Box 115. Walkerton, died at 6:40 p.m. Monday at the LaPorte Hospital following a brief illness. A homemaker. Mrs. Kline was bom June 14. 1899. in Union Mills. She had lived in this area most of her life. At Walkerton on December 24. 1922. she married Delbert Russell (Shorty) Kline, who survives, along with a daughter, Mrs. Mary Jane Slater, of Elkhart; a son. Jack Kline, of Naples. Florida; seven grandchildren; six greatgrandchildren and a brother. Gail Whitaker, of Koontz Lake. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, July 27 at the Nusbaum-Elkin Funeral Home. Walkerton. Rev. Dester Cummins. pastor of the Blissville Church of the Brethren, will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery . Walkerton. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 :00 to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services on Thursday. JOHN A. GRENNERT John A. Grennert, 73. of Rural Route 1, Walkerton, died at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 24. in St. Joseph Hospital, South Bend. He was born on May 12. 1905 in Walkerton and had been a life long resident of the Walkcrton-Teegar-den area. On June 6. 1925, in Tyner, he married Dorothy M. Ritzman, who survives. He was a retired farmer and carpenter. Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Thelma Trump, of South Bend; six grandchildren; a brother, Claude Grennert, of Walkerton; and a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Ronald Grennert. of Chisholm. Minnesota. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m on Wednesday. July 26, at the Nusbaum-Elkin Funeral Home, Walkerton, with Rev. James Price, pastor of the Tyner and Teegarden United Methodist Churches, officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetmery. Walkerton.
Grennert was a member and a trustee of the Icegarden United Methodist Chruch. JOHNSON TOWNSHIP CLUB MEETS Ihe Johnson Township Extension Homemakers Club were guests of Mrs. Sidney Smith at her home on Wednesday of last week. A fried chicken carry-in dinner was served to 19 members and two children at 12:30 on the lawn, under the huge maple trees. The table prayer was given by Esther Kaufman. Mrs. Smith was assisted by her sister. Miss Ethel Bierly. Mrs. Harry Malstaff, president, presided with usual business being transacted and dues paid for the new year. The survey sheets were turned in for the county office. Martha Mull gave the health and safety lesson from the Safety Scroll with statistics on deaths of famous people who met with accidental deaths. Final plans and transportation was made for the show, "West Side Story", at the Canterbury Theatre on August 2, in Michigan City. The birthday song was sung for Mrs. Mull. Mrs. Cecil Bowers and Mrs. Larry Anderson. Attendance awards were received by Mrs. Charles Daube. Mrs. James Keeling and Mrs. Kaufman. There will not be a meeting in August.

Kirk Beaver and family Good Field Set At Plymouth For Ladies Golf Meet A field that is still growing will bring many familiar names to the Plymouth Country Club this week end for the Sth annual Hoosier LPGA Classic golf tourney. As of Tuesday evening, the top four money winners of last season, Judy Rankin, Joanne Carner, Kathy Whitworth and Jane Blalock are ail in the field with Debbie Austin, Pat Bradley and Sliva Bertolaccini. all in the top 11 of last year’s list, included in the 66 pros and four amateur set to claim the 1978 crown. Debbie Austin is the defending champion. Ihe timing this year, immediately following the Women's Open and the week prior to the Colgate European meet, has cost a few top names with both Nancy Lopez and recent Open winner. Hollis Stacy, missing. However, the field will be very competitive and even at the latest listing a couple more entries are expected. The purse this year will be $60,000 dollars for the tourney which has grown in size from a $35,000 meet in 1974. The Plymouth Country Club, west of Plymouth three miles on State Road 17. will be the scene of the entire week's activities which includes in addition to the 54 hole tourney, a Pro-Am on Thursday, July 27. with

Sh teams of four amateurs and one lady pro playing in a scramble. All of this is open to the public for a SS.(X) admission fee. Joanne Carner has been a twotime winner of the Hoosier Classic in 1974 and again in 1976. Betsy Cullen, missing this year due to previous commitments at the LPGA Summer Qualifying School, was the 197? winner with Debbie Austin taking the crown, one of five she won in 1977. Man\ of the young and upcoming stars of the future are scattered in the field as well as one name that is treasured in ladies golf circles, that of Mickey Wright, w ho despite being one of the old standbys and after having leg problems, still is a classic golfer and will make her presence known. She only competes in a few tournics each year but will be making her second straight appearance at the Pretty Lake golf course. Blalock and Carner are both multiple w inners tn I PGA competition this year and of course. Judy Rankin, the top lady golfer of the past two seasons, will be making her fifth straight appearance in the classic, twice finishing second in this meet.
