The "Falcon Flyer" is alive, well, and residing in Room 109 at John Glenn High School. During • the sixth period, this room is transformed into a hub of frenzied activity from which the school's newspaper is produced. After the success of last year's experimental issue, which was composed during one. nine-week, phase-elective journalism class, this year's class was extended for an entire semester (called Journalism I anil II). Iwo issues have already been printed, and a speiial senior edition, which will include senior profiles, wills, and class prophecy, is in the making. Hugh Hettinger, the journalism teacher, feels the most important function of a schixrl newspaper is "to open a two-way street of communication between students and the administration. It gives even student the opportunity to voice any legitimate concerns about their school by writing a letter to the editor.
