NORTH LIBERTY Mr. and Mrs. Warren Kaslee, of Wooster. Ohio, visited Frances McDaniel over the week end. It was such a pleasure to see and visit with them. Sunday ten guests enjoyed a Spanish dinner at the Mrs. Effie Hammaker residence. Special guests were Mr. Vidal Tomasino and Mr. Miguel Tomasino. They are Walter Tomasino's father and older brother. Walter is an exchange student staying at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Wcsolek. in Wakarusa Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Everett Huff. Steff Huff. Mrs. Wcsolek. Christy Wesolek and Edwardo Sigucnza. The Tomasino family arc from El Salvador. Central America. Mrs. Inez Mechtel and Frances McDaniel are spending Thanksgiving with Don and Shirley McDaniel and family, in Rolling Meadows. Illinois. Don't forget the Thanksgiving candlelight meditation service on Wednesday evening at 7:30 p.m. at the North Liberty Church of Christ. Everyone is welcome. CHRISTMAS PROGRAM DECEMBER 1 The North Liberty Elementary Christmas program will be held on Thursday. December 1 at ‘’:00 p.m. in the high school gym. NOTICE The North Liberty Business Association will meet on Tuesday. November 29. at ":30 a.m. at the Re Lax Inn. SEASON TICKETS GO ON SALE Basketball season tickets will go on sale Monday. November 28 at North Liberty High School. Prices are SIO.OO for adults and $6.00 for students. There will be eight home games. Tickets at the door are $2.00 for adults and $1.25 for students. TRI KAPPA NEWS Mr. Edward Harding, an art instructor at Ivy Tech. South Bend, was the featured speaker at the November 9 meeting of Zeta Pi chapter of Tn Kappa in the home of Mrs. Jerry Knepp. North Liberty. He spoke on the background and styles of famous artists and gave tips on the purchase of good paintings. A report on the recent Kappa Kupboard Bazaar was given bv Mrs. John Camblin. The organization voted to sponsor a local Blue Bird group. Mrs. Howard Jones reported that a total of $18" (X) had been collected from the sale of Kidney Foundation meter measuring sticks. A Christmas party for members and spouses will be held on Sunday evening. December 4. at tl.e home of Mrs Edward Harding. Mrs Vaughn Eastburn, the local chairman for the March of Dimes, has asked the group s assistance in soliciting funds during the month of January Those interested were to tell Mrs Audinc Manuel The next meeting will be held on Wednesday. December 14, at the home of Mrs. Audinc Manuel, with each member to bring her Christmas specialty food dish.
