Mr. and Mrs. Louis Houser. Mr. Claude Houser and Miss Man Lefler were in South Bend on Thanksgiving Day as guests of Mrs Roslyn Henthonre. Mr. Charles Shogren. Koontz Ukc. is a medical patient in the laPortc Hospital. Miss Marcia Bierly. of LaPorte, was a Wednesday dinner guest of her aunt. Miss Ethel Bierly. On Sundav Miss Geneva Grukmiller and her room mate in Manon. Indiana, stopped in to pay Miss Bicrlv a visit. Thanksgiving Dav guests of Mr and Mrs Jem Houser and family were Mr and Mrs. Dale Ullery, Mr and Mrs Boh Mercer and familv and Mr. and Mrs. John Kiracofe and family, of Fort Wayne. The Kiracofes will spend the rest of the week here with her parents, the Dale Ullery Mrs. Gus Morris is a patient in the LaPorte Hospital. Mrs. Alta Bowers and Mrs. Helen Murphy entertained on Saturday afternoon at a bridal shower for Miss Debby Gulick. Out of town guests were Mrs. Alfred Gulick, of Peoria. Illinois, Mrs. Herbert Mantick, of LaPorte. Mrs. Norma Tesch, of Mishawaka, Mrs. Donald Lee Count and Mrs. Ernie Crilow amd Justise, of Nappanee. Miss Gulick will become the bride of Dennis Mantick on December 30. Prizes at contests were won by Mrs. Daryl Bowers. Mrs. Lee Count and Mrs. Crilow. Miss Gulick is presently attending Indiana University at Bloomington and will graduate after doing her practice teaching in LaPorte. Dennis is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Mantick, of LaPorte and the grandson of Mrs. Alta Bowers. For Thanksgiving Day dinner guests of Mrs. Glenn Walz were Mrs. Ted Wolfe and sons Bob and Bill of Park Forest, Illinois; Mr. and Mrs. Everett Shinn and Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Walz. Mr. Ted Wolfe will be flying to Florida to spend the hohdav with his parents. Dr. and Mrs. V. B. Wife, in Sebnng. Mr. Harry Doll has been serious ly ill since arriving in Florida and is in the Highland General Hospital. Room 209. Sebnng. Flonda 338 7 0. He will appreciate heanng from his Indiana friends. There will not be a Koontz Lake Conservation Club Saturday evening dinner due to the holiday. Mrs. Martha Mull arrived home on Saturday after spending six weeks vacationing. She was tn Gooding. Idaho first where she spent nearly four weeks visiting with her brothers then she went to Kimball South Dakota to visit her aunt, Minnie Dreesscn and other relatives Mr and Mrs Richard Roberts, of Canoga Park, California, are here visiting her parents. Mr and Mrs Leonard Beaty and other relatives. Mr and Mrs Everett Baker and Mr and Mrs Douglas Baker and son Paul were guests on Thanksgiving Day of Mr and Mrs Dennis Baker and family in Bremen Mr and Mrs. Larry Hostetler and family, of Albequerque. New Mexico, are here visiting with Mr and Mrs. Richard Anderson and family. Joining them on Thanksgiving were Mr. and .Mrs Richard Anderson. Sr. and Mrs Jeanette Olsen, of South Bend. Mr and Mrs Lyle Burnside, of South Bend, Mrs. Edith Baumgardner. of Milford, and Mr and Mrs Bill Phebus, of South Bend, were Saturday evening dinner guests of Mr and Mrs Wilder Burnside.
