Verda Karn Elected President Os District 23 Mrs. Verda Karn was elected president of the Rebekahs of Dis trict 23 at the tall meeting on Sat urday. September 1” at Richland (enter IOOF Hall with the Naomi Rebekah Lodge 859 as the host lodge and Forster Rebekah Lodge, of I ippecanoe, assisting Florence Jefferies. Evergreen Lodge. Roch ester, past president ot the Rebek ah Assembly of Indiana, was the instructor for the afternoon meeting. Helen Miller. Kewanna, District deputy president, presided at the meeting. Awards presented were a trophy to be shared be the Evergreen Lodge, ot Rochester and the Lyner lodge for the most new members. Ihe second trophs went to Sophronia. Winamac, for the largest gain in membership on a percentage basis. The flag was presented to Kew anna for the most certificates of perfection and the vase was given to Nammi, Richland Center, for the most members present on a percentage basis.
