Gladys Sheneman was pleasantly surprised last Friday when LaMar Rupley, of Livermore. California, stopped by at Harvey's store to see her after being away from North Liberty 25 years. They were neighbors. His father passed away two years after leaving here and his mother is still a widow and retired now. They were sightseeing in a motor home. He is married and has three children who were also along. His sister, Evelyn, and brother, Larry, are also living in California along with their families. Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Teter, in Mishawaka, were Mr. and Mrs. Claude Sheneman, of North Liberty, Mrs. Chester Thayer and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Stoneburner, of near Walkerton; Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Teter and family and Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Teter, of Griffith, who were to move on Monday to their new home tn Wisconsin, where Ronald will be employed. Mrs. Fred DeCoudres and Mrs. Floyd Mains, of Homer, Michigan, attended the wedding of Cathv ( rays and Jeffrey Osgood, in New Albany, Indiana, on Saturday afternoon. They visited with cousins in Sullivan from Thursday until Sunday afternoon. Mrs. Effie Hammaker. Charles VanderHagen and Edwardo Sinques visited with Mr. and Mrs. Ted Wesolek and family in Wakarusa last Wednesday evening. Mr. and Mrs. On al low ns, of Rochester, visited Mrs. Effie Ham maker. Mr. Charles VanderHagen and Edwardo Sinques on Saturday evening. Mrs. Towri is a sister of Mrs. Hammaker. Mr. Cecil Worthington. Mrs. Martha Taylor and Mrs. Nellie Smith were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Craft and Brent, in South Bend. The dinner was in honor of the Craft's daughter, Brenda Maddux, who was celebrating her birthday. There were 11 guests present. In the afternoon ice cream and cake were served. Brenda received many lovely gifts. Mrs. Ethel Kurzhal. of South Bend, spent several days last week with her sisters, Mrs. Nellie Smith and Mrs. Martha Taylor. Mrs. Lillian Peterson spent last week visiting with her son. Earl, and family, in Dearborn. Michigan. Mrs. Robert Hellwig and Mrs. David Gott, of Lafayette, were guests of Mrs. Earl Packer on Friday. They are sister and a nephew ’f Mrs. Packer. Jim Peterson, of LaPorte, and Mr. and Mrs. John Peterson and Brian, of south Bend, were Saturday evening supper guests of Miss Mary Ann, Tom and their mother, Mrs. Lillian Peterson. Mr. Cecil Worthington and Mrs. Martha Taylor spent last Wednesiay with the former's daughter. Mrs. Grant Poynter, in Kokomo.

Edna King visited her sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Orval Town, in Rochester, over the week end.
