CHAPTERS Walkerton Chapter 319, Order of the Eastern Star will host, along with Bremen chapter 117 and Plymouth chapter 26, the official visit of the Worthy Grand Matron Sister Suzanne Lisor, Friday, August 5, at

the Walkerton Elementary School. At five o’clock Mrs. Lisor and officers of the Walkerton chapter will present to Mrs. Robert Hostetler, in her home, her fifty year pin. When Mrs. Hostetler was initiated, Mr. Grover Ophnger and Mrs. Kathryn Aw aid, both deceased, headed the chapter in 1927. Two other members, Mrs. Hortense Wray, of Grapevine, Texas, and Mrs. Christine Shirley, of Franklin. Indiana, will receive their pins through the chapter in their district. A dinner- will be served at 6 o'clock at the Community Building. At 7 :10 the baby dedication will be held at the Elementary School. Inspection will begin at 7:30 p.m. The Walkerton officers will give the opening with Elizabeth Reed and Jasper Elkin in the East. Introductions and escorts will be in order. Bremen chapter with Mr. and Mrs. John Stayton in the east will do the initiatory work. The closing will be given by the Plymouth chapter with Nancy Campbell and James Rhoda seated in the East. Punch and cookies will be served follow ing the meeting. ARTS & CRAFTS FESTIVAL NEARS Historic Amish Acres in Nappanee. Indiana, will present the 15th Annual Pletcher Village Art Festival, Thursday through Sunday, August 11-14. Susan Feece, Walkerton, has been awarded a b<x>th in the Art & Craft Marketplace. The four day artists’ weekend is designed around the Amish heritage and folk art of the historic restoration and the Nappanee area. Horse and buggy rides, guided tours and demonstrations provide an intriguing background for the art display and market. Family style dinners in the air conditioned restaurant and spit roast pig, sausage and sauerkraut under the big tent, as well as apple cider, sweet corn, funnel cakes, and ice cream, will give festival visitors all they want to eat and more. From the sounds of the fiddle and guitar to the square dance caller plus Punch and Judy a stream of entertainment will fill the summer air during the four day festival.
