of our activities compared to our legislated mission. “Granting of full accreditation status signifies that Ivy Tech-South Bend is indeed providing quality post-secondary level occupational training and re training opportunities to the citizens of the South Bend region, and has the faculty and staff necessary to expand that activity and remain responsive to new job and occupational training needs in the future." Four other Ivy Tech regional technical institutes (Evansville, Ft. Wayne, Indianapolis, and Terre Haute) also received full accreditation status during the summer North Central Association meeting, while the Southeast region was granted candidate status. Sample added, “All Ivy Tech regional institutes are now either fully accredited or hold candidate status with the North Central Association. This is a major milestone in the brief history of our unique institution. " rhe assessment process used by the North Central Association, combining self-evaluation with independent examination by representatives of similar occupational training institutions, provides us with yet another judgment that Ivy Tech is meeting the occupational training mission assigned it by the citizens of Indiana through its elected representatives in the General Assembly. Without the support of students, faculty and staff, members of the General Assembly and Indiana’s citizens, this accomplishment could not have happened." he said. Fall quarter registration at the college began on August 1 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily. The week of August 29 is set aside as special registration week, hours
