Rev. D. Barnett To Be 29th Pastor Here Sunday, June 26, the First United Presbyterian Church of Walkerton will instill the Reverend David K. Barnett as its twentyninth pastor since the church’s founding in 1876. The service, which is open to the public, will begin at 7:30 p.m.

Doctor John Goodpasture, of Koontz Lake, will deliver a sermon entitled, “If I Had One Sermon To Preach.’’ Other participants in the service include Mrs. Bryce Rohrer, an elder in the local church; Rev. Lloyd George, pastor of the Koontz Lake Missionary Church; Doctor William Hughes, pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Walkerton; Doctor Peter Eckert, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Phoenix, Arizona; and the Reverend Clarence H. Barnett, father of David Barnett and pastor of St. Paul's United Methodist Church of Woodbridge, Virginia, the Reverend Larry Boutelle and Mrs. Ira Martz of the Wabash Valley Presbytery. A reception will follow the service. Reverend Barnett has been ministering at the Presbyterian Church as a pastoral supply since March. He is a 1977 Master of Divinity graduate of Louisville Presbyterian Seminary, having graduated with the highest grade point average in his class. He has also received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Indiana University (1969) and a Master of Arts in counseling from Ball State University (1972).

Prior to accepting a ministerial call to the Walkerton Church, Reverend Barnett served as pastoral assistant and minister to youth at the Warsaw, Indiana, Presbyterian Church.
