Federal Power Commission. As a result of these adjustments, the average NIPSCO residential customer using gas for home heating will pay approximately 15 cents per month more or $1.75 per year more for gas service beginning in July. NIPSCO residential customers using gas for purposes other than space heating will pay about 4 cents a month or 45 cents more a year beginning then. NIPSCO does not realize one cent of profit from the tracking of gas supply and gas storage and storage transportation costs. The money goes directly to the companies from whom NIPSCO purchases the natural gas, or from those companies with whom the utility has gas storage and/or transportation contracts.
