Mr. and Mrs. Mahlon Jacob and Jennifer went to Lafayette Sunday to attend the graduation exercises for their son Jeff. Mrs. Ellen Brede of Lake Worth, Florida, came back to Walkerton Saturday evening to spend the summer at her Koontz Lake home. She was accompained home by her brother Tom Wilkins, of Chicago, who is spending some time here with her. Meri Brown, of South Bend, birthday. Guests were Mr. and Mrs. Lavon Miller and Mr. and Mrs. John L. Brown, of Plymouth; Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Brown and son, of Elkhart; Miss Linda Brown and Miss Linda Betz, of South Bend; Mrs. Virginia Berg and Gina, of Hamlet, and Mrs. Jane Schultz and daughters, of Hanna. Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Grimm, of Kokomo, are spending a few days this week with Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Brown. Mr. and Mrs. Chuck Cripe, Mr. and Mrs. Everett Baker and Mrs. Bertha Urbin were in Auburn on Saturday evening to attend the wedding of Mr. Steve Tarlton, of Garrett. The wedding took place in the Trinity Lutheran Church and the reception was held in the American Legion Hall, in Garrett. Mrs. Lawrence Turner and Terry, of Walkerton, were also present and Terry served as best man. Mrs. Donald Dipert and Mrs. John Flaherty will serve as hostesses for the Saturday evening carryin dinner of the Koontz Lake Conservation Club with members and guests invited to attend. A fellowship hour will follow the meal. On Friday night the club will hold their monthly business meeting at the club house beginning at 7;(X) p.m. Mr. and Mrs. Cleo Clark return-

cd home on May 6 from a six week trip in the west with stops at Gila Bend. Arizona; Yuma, Arizona; and Sacramento, California, where they visited with their two sons, Paul and Randy and their families at Rui Doso, New Mexico. Mrs. Joanne Schoenseld and son, Jonathan, of Tuscon, Arizona, were here last week to spend a few days with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Hunt. Mr. and Mrs. Craig DeMyer were in Indianapolis over the week end to visit with relatives and to attend the time trials at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Mrs. Viola Bregi and Mrs. Helen Smith, of Koontz Lake, were in Richmond, Indiana, on Saturday to sec the May Day festivities at Earlham College which are presented every four years. Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Norton and daughter, of Sotego, Michigan, were here on Sunday to spend the day with her father, Mr. and Mrs. Alex Kuklinski, at Koontz Lake. Miss Marge Weis, of Chicago, and Mrs. Roscoe Chase, of Blue Island, Illinois, were Tuesday visitors of Mrs. George Hillis. They also called on the George Pfeiffers and Dorothea and Al brenner. Guests of Mr. and Mrs. William Zlatos following graduation on Sunday. May 15, at Indianapolis, where Steven Zlatos graduated from the Indiana School of Law, were Mr. and Mrs. Jay Warden, of Terre Haute; Mr. and Mrs. Michael Zlatos, of Lafayette; Robert Kolnik. Stephen. Edward and Joseph. of Berwyn. Illinois.

Honoring mothers, Mrs Reed read a poem dedicated to Grandmothers, often left out on Mother's Day. Each lady present received a flowering plant to put in her garden.
