Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Baker and family and Mr. and Mrs. Everett Baker were in Bremen on Sunday for Mother’s Day dinner, guests of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Baker and family. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Jones and Mr. and Mrs. John Zent, of Bremen. Mr. Ray Rensberger, of Sherwood, Ohio, was a Sunday guest of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Rensberger. Mrs. Lucile Ward called in the evening on the Rensbergers. Thursday evening guests of Mrs. Alta Bowers and her guests, the Sanders, of Keene, Texas, were Mr. and Mrs. John Bowers, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Bowers. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Murphy, all of Walkerton. and Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Mantick, of LaPorte. On Friday Mrs. Bowers and her Texas guests visited Miss Dora Bowers of the Hamilton Grove Home. New Carlisle. Friday evening Miss Ethel bierly was a guest in the Bowers apartment. Mr. and Mrs. Oren Duthie were in St. Joseph. Michigan, on Friday and Saturday. Mrs. Duthie and her daughter-in-law. Mrs. Tommie Duthie, attended a mother-daught-er banquet while there. Mrs. Mildred Smith. Mrs. Marv Bauer and Mrs. Goldie Skinner attended a Fellowship Tea at the United Mcthcxlist Church. South Bend on Friday afternoon at I o’clock. Dr. and Mrs. V. B. Wolfe arrived here last week from Sebring, Florida. for a few weeks visit with relatives. On Sunday Dr. Wolfe, Mrs. Glen Walz, Mr. and Mrs. Everett Shinn were guests for dinner of Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Walz. Mrs. Wolfe is spending a few days in Park Forest. Illinois, with ther son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Wolfe Mr. and Mrs. Harry Doll have returned home from spending the winter in Florida. Mrs. Esther Kaufman was a Mother’s Day guest of her son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Kaugman. Fish Lake. Other guests were Melba Arney. Fish Lake and Mrs. Carol Lee Epperson and family, of East Gary. Indiana. Mrs. Mary Bower spent Mother’s Day week end in South Bend with her daughter, Mrs. William Blye and daughter. Michon. A cook out was enjoyed at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Burch for Mother's Day with Mrs. Judy Ryan, Janet and Julie, and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Urbin present. Mrs. Mamie Houser, of North Liberty, and Mr. and Mrs. Dale Ullery were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Houser and family in Walkerton. Elder and Mrs. F. O. Sanders, of Keene, Texas, and Elder and Mrs. Norman Martin, of South Bend along with Mrs. Gladys Tener, of Walkerton, were Thursday dinner guests of Mrs. Alta Bowers. Mr. and Mrs. John Newland returned home Wednesday from their winter's stay in Florida where they were residents in the Lake Placid campgrounds. Mrs. Margunete Burch and Mrs. Elizabeth Michalski will serve as hostesses for the Koontz Lake C onservation Club dinner on Saturday night. All member and their guests are welcome. Saturday Elder and Mrs. Sanders. of Keene, Texas, and Mrs. Alta Bowers were dinner guests of Mrs. Helen Hardt, in South Bend. On Sunday morning Elder and Mrs. Sanders left for their home. Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Leigh Roy Hahn were Mr. and Mrs. Leigh Roy Hahn. Jr., and family, of Knox; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Hahn and family, of Etna Green; Mr. and Mrs. Fritz Skinner and Mrs Mamie Hahn.

Mr. and Mrs. Dcnslow Doll and Scott and Mr. and Mrs. Keith George and family, of Wakarusa, were in Valparaiso on Sunday as guests of Mr. and Mrs. Don Swanson and family. Guests Sunday in the Charles Bellinger home to celebrate Mother's Day and Mr. Bellinger's birthday were Mr. and Mrs. William Bellinger, of North Manchester; Mr. and Mrs. Donald Sheaks, of Willowbrook. Illinois; Edward Wynn and Marianne Ciecieiski. of South Bend; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wynn, Mr. and Mrs. Grant Bellinger and Mrs. Harold McCann, Walkerton.

Mrs. David Lawrence and Mrs. Myrtle Mutschler spent the week end in Lafayette with Mr. and Mrs. William Ikins and family. A graduation service was held Sunday at St. Paul’s Church in Valparaiso for 69 graduates for nurses from Purdue North Central Nursing School, of which Mrs. Georgia Cripe was a student and was pinned as a registered nurse. Open house was held for her by her children in her home with members of their family attending. Mr. and Mrs. Archie Brehm, of Koontz Lake, returned Monday evening after spending the past week in Cedar Rapids, lowa, with their daughter. Mr. and Mrs. William Blood and family. Mrs. Robert Flanigan, of Suva, Kiji, came last week on account of her mother's death. She is spending several days here in the states with her uncle Bill Boelkins and with her son who is in the eastern

part of the U.S.A. Mr. and Mrs. John Guttman came home Tuesday after a month stay at Sheridan with their son, Mr. and Mrs. James Guttman and family. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Stillson, of Cassopolis, Michigan, entertained on Sunday for their mothers. Mrs. Ila (Zahrn) Lute and Mrs. Georgia Stillson. Also attending were Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Zahrn, Judy and Barbara; Mrs. Fred Williams and Scott and Melissa Story. Also Mrs. Stillson's sister, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Kreighbaum, of Crawfordsville. Mrs. Erwin Sczcypski, of South Bend, called in the afternoon. Everyone enjoyed the lovely dinner and a pleasant day at the lake. them met at the home of Miss Ethel Bierly on Wednesday, May 4 for noon dinner and visiting with Marv (Bowers) Sanders and husband Floyd, from Keene. Texas.
