Jr., of Bloomington. Indiana. They attended the White Sox versus lexas Rangers baseball game tn Chicago on Fridas night. Reverend and Mrs. William E. Hughes recently spent a week in Williamsport. Pennsylvania, visiting their son. Richard and daugh-ter-in-law. Diane Hughes. Mrs. Leo Mahoney. Mrs. Bryce Rohrer and Mrs. Glenn Jacob attended the state convention of Tri Kappa held at French Lick. April 28-30. “A Rainbow Over Indiana” was the theme for the 42nd Biennial State Convention. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hostetter came home on Sunday from Lehigh Acres, Florida, where they spent the winter months. A trip to Martinsville on Saturday to attend the wedding of Craig Allen DeMyer and Elizabeth Ann Burkhart was taken by Mr. and Mrs. Harold Knowlton. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Knowlton, Mr. and Mrs. Gene Knowlton, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Knowlton, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Hiler. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Beagles. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hostetter and Mrs. Bertha Urbin. all of Walkerton; Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Ross, of Lakeville; Bob and Jack Hiler and Mrs. Wilma Hockett, of LaPorte; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Love, of Mishawaka; Mr. and Mrs. William Foster, of South Bend; Mr. Fisseha Mekuna. of Ft. Collins, Colorado, who served as best man in the wedding and Rev. and Mrs. Clyde Wake, of Sullivan. Indiana. The wedding ceremony was in the First United Methodist Church, in Martinsville. Rev. and Mrs. Luther Likens, of the Bible Baptist Church, in Knox, were callers in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jolly Back and family on Tuesdav.

Fisseha Mekuna. of Ft. Collins. Colorado. Mr. and Mrs. Gene Knowlton and Danny, Mr. and Mrs. Craig DeMyer and Mrs. Arthur DeMyer were Monday evening supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Knowhon. Mr. and Mrs. Charles McKesson. of Austin. Texas, were recent visitors of his parents and sisters. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur McKesson, Miss Mildren McKesson and Mrs. Walter J. Hayter. They also cnjoyed visiting other friends and relatives in the area. Mrs. George Hillis, of Koontz Lake, spent several days last week visiting her sister and brother-in-law. Mr. and Mrs. J. Peterson, In Sussex. Wisconsin, and her mother. Mrs. Helena Christman, in Waukesha. Wisconsin. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Meyer and family, of Hamlet, entertained Saturday evening with a pot luck supper in honor of her sister and husband. Spec. 4 Margaret R. Swanson and Charles L. Swanson who were leaving on a tour of duty with the U. S. Army in Germany. Other guests were her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter J. Havter, Mr. and Mrs. Larry D. Long and sons. Charles Korbuly. husband of the former Dorothy Walsh, has been promoted to budget manager for the entire State of California for G.T.E.. General Telephone Enterprises. Dorothy is presently in Washington. D C., presenting her manuscript at the Institute of Electroinice Engineers. May 9 the Korbulys will be in Walkerton for a visit with her mother, Mrs. Thomas Walsh, then back home to Malibu. California where they now reside taking a leisure trip on the northern route through Utah and points of interest. Dorothy is a graduate of Tyner High School and Purdue University and has been associated

with Jet Propulsion Laboratory of California Institute of Technology and NASA for 15 years. Charles attended college in Europe and at Purdue. Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Kessler and Alan, of LaPorte. entertained Sunday evening for Mr. and Mrs. Charles McKesson and Mr. and Mrs. Walter J. Hayter. Sunday evening dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Burch were Mrs. Judy Ryan. Janet. Julie and Jim, and Mrs. Robert Urbin. Mr. and Mrs. Michael Murphy and family, of Louisville. Kentucky. were week end guests of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Murphy. Other guests for Saturday night supper were Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Tesch, of Mishawaka, and Mrs. Brooke Bowers, of Walkerton. Mrs. William Michalski, of Koontz Lake, spent last week in Baton Rogue, La., with her sons and families. While there Mr. and Mrs. George Michalski celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary and his mothers presence was a great surprise to them. Another treat for Mrs. Michalski was that she saw her first great-grandson, Jason. and with the beautiful springtime the week was a very happy one for her. Mrs. Lloyd Smith and Mrs. Fritz Skinner were in South Bend on Friday morning to attend the funeral service of Mrs. John Patrick Doran. Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Kerchacrt came home Saturday from their winters stay in Lake Placid. Florida, and Sunday guests were Mr. and Mrs. Charles (Butch) Smith and family, of Bourbon. Mrs. Lloyd Smith and Mrs. Marilyn Laßere attended the Indiana State Library Association meeting of District No. 1, held in the Holiday Inn, at Merrillville, Indiana. Tuesday of this week. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Persing and Mrs. Veral Myers, of South Bend, were Saturday visitors of Mr. Lloyd Smith. Mrs. Anna Allsop, of North Liberty. was a Sunday dinner guest of Mr. and Mrs. John Solmos. Mrs. Stanley Hostetter was released from the LaPorte Hospital Saturday. A pot luck dinner was enjoyed in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wilder Burnside Saturday evening with the following guests present. On Sunday evening Mr. Larry Burnside and Miss Mary Lappert, of South Bend, were dinner guests of his grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. Wilder Burnside. Mrs. Sylvia Jordon, of Walkerton, and Mrs. Charles Shogren, of Koontz Lake, with six other china painters from Illinois, attended the Indiana Annual Convention Saturday and Sunday in Indianapolis. Hosts for the Koontz Lake Conservation Club dinner this Saturday evening will be Mr. and Mrs. Charles Shogren with a social hour following.
