Time 1:40.1 John Glenn has won a total of eight meets in nine years and this year have a very young team. They open the season with some very good track teams and the kids are not disheartened by the score to date. They arc working hard and with these young kids, coach Kerry Hacnes feels that they will put together some fine performances. It is too early to tell yet what kind of season they will have but if the kids keep working as hard as they are at

present, coach Hacnes thinks they will surprise some teams before the season is over. JOHN GLENN GIRLS' TENNIS RESULTS This is the first interscholastic girls tennis team for John Glenn High School and the girls have been practicing regularly and arc showing signs of steady improvement. Two matches has been played to date with the team losing 6-1 to Plymouth, and 5-2 to Triton’s girls' teams. Most of the matches are played away from home due to the limited facilities in Walkerton. Sophomore Anita Ecker has won both of her matches and the other winner has been Annette Peterson. Coach Kickbush has been very please with the performances of the other players and remains optimistic that the rest will be winners with the additional experience of play.
